Post Video: Emma Watson in full "Anderson Live" interview, "Perks" U.S. wide-release info

The full interview with Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Ezra Miller to promote this Friday's release of The Perks of Being a Wallflower on Anderson Live has been released online. In it, the three chat about some of their favourite scenes in the feature, adjusting to Pittsburgh, and for the Harry Potter actress, getting used to some American phrases.

Anderson Cooper: The thing I find amazing about that scene where [Charlie] says We accept the love that we think we deserve” – that was one of those – I felt like Oprah – like, “AHA!” It was one of those AHA moments.
Emma Watson:
It’s so funny you say that because that was the line for me, when I read the script, that was such a revelation. It hit me like a steam train. I was like, “Oh my God, it doesn’t have to be this big awful drama? You can just date someone that’s nice and wants to take care of you?

When you got the call that you were going to be working with Emma Watson, what was that like?
Logan:
Oh it was great. She’s wonderful. She’s a great actress. I was really excited about it. The reason why we bonded so much though, so quickly as well, was because we were so isolated.
Emma: We were stuck in this Crown Plaza Hotel in the middle of this car parking lot in Pittsburgh.

Anderson: I think I’ve stayed there. There’s not a lot to do.
Emma:
There’s not a lot to do
Logan Lerman: There’s not much to do and none of us had cars.
Emma: We lived together, really.

Anderson: Did going to Brown help you to draw inspiration for playing an American teenager?
Emma:
I was nervous. I knew I didn’t have my own personal experiences to draw on. I think definitely being at Brown helped, but I was like pedantically researching everything. Steve [Chobosky, director] would get these crazy emails from me at like one in the morning like, “What is the Olive Garden? What is this place that you keep referring to?” And I didn’t get jokes.

Anderson: Have you been to Olive Garden? They have the best artichoke dip on the planet.
Emma:
Really? I wish you’d told me that previously because I went in and I was like (looking around confused), “Really? Okay. All right.”
Anderson: And the breadsticks. Very good.
Ezra Miller: Free. They keep coming. They never stop.
Anderson: And they’re brushed with olive oil and butter.
Ezra: ‘Olive Garden’ actually ended up being the one word that you couldn’t figure out the accent with, right?
Emma: I struggled. I got there in the end. (uses American accent) Olive Garden. I got there. (Ezra shrugs) But at the time I was “Oh, I can’t really.” The other one I struggled with was ‘vinyl’.
