This was quite interesting. Kurumi's words were sort of... inspiring? "Really? I grew up non-magically, too..." But he sucked. It's not that he didn't try. "Oh. Aren't you very good at broomsticking?" Cos he didn't understand people that didn't enjoy tearing up the Quidditch pitch. It was ALL Theo ever thought about, and classes always came second to Quidditch. Awww...... he loved compliments on his flying. "Thank you." He knew that already, though. "I wasn't very good last term but that's cos I had to use a school broom." But he had a CUSTOM one now. A custom one that West's dad had hooked up for him. Yea, the terror twins were gonna own the pitch this term.

Okay.. she had actually gone in. Theo patted his floats, making sure they were robust. Oh, God. Why had he agreed to this? It's not like Kurumi was forcing him to jump in, cos he was the one who MADE her. He held his breath and very slowly lowered himself into the water. He went straight under, the floats stopping his head from going underwater.

He was just a bobbing head. And now he was breathing like a maniac. TERROR. TERROR. "I need another float. I NEED ANOTHER FLOAT." He needed SHOES that floated.

Oh. Right. That sort of HAD been a stupid question to ask him, although it did beg another in the Gryffindor wondering if he had had some sort of experience where he had actually come close to...erm...doing that...but asking was not going to help the situation any. "Right...of course..." she said rather hurriedly.

"You did?" Kurumi asked, somewhat surprised that Theo had has well. She wasn't entirely sure why, exactly, but he gave off the impression that he had grown up magically. Perhaps it was him mentioning that she use magic to dry her robes that had done it. Kurumi still tended to think the nonmagical way first when it came to this - which was often rather embarrassing depending on the company. "My father is pureblood, mother wasn't, but I was never told about any of this," meaning the wizarding world, "until my Hogwarts letter arrived."

Tryouts....right... awkward. Hopefully Theo hadn't seen that disaster of a tryout that Selina had made her attend. Kurumi used to be reckless on a broom - because Carter HAD told her to catch the snitch at all costs and she took that message to heart - but this time...she had nearly taken out the entire Gryffindor team before the team had even been selected.

At least now Selina was no longer pushing her to play Quidditch?

"Because of the program I want to go into. Romania has the best dragon breeding program and...I just can't pass it up," she said with a sad shrug. Maybe things wouldn't seem so daunting if she had her apparition license?

...and they were back to talking Quidditch and flying.....

"Not anymore," she grumbled softly, chewing on her lip nervously. "I...had a horrible Quidditch accident when I was playing Seeker...destroyed my broom and...I suppose shattered my confidence. Some people just were not meant to fly..." And if he HAD seen her tryout this term he would know that she was one of those people. "Well, you are now," she smiled. "I'll cheer for you from the stands, unless you are playing against Gryffindor that is."

Kurumi leaned back a bit in the water and was about to lower herself in a bit more - to her chest perhaps - when Theo started flailing about like a kneazle being shoved into a tub full of water. "Woah woah woooooah," she said as she waddled over to him and shoved both of her hands under the water until she found his under arms and slowly lifted him a bit so his chest was now out of the hot spring as well. "Relax...take some deep breaths...I've got you."
