Even if she objected to that particular word. "The train still isn't working. It needs to work by the end of the term, obviously. We haven't found a cause yet. Right now Recard's taking point on it, but its certainly a Statute issue, and therefore as soon as he's done faffing about, I'll take care of it. In time to get the children safely home for summer without bothering the muggles." She paused. "You know your statute history, and history regarding the establishment of the express, I assume?" Mr History of Magic professor? Hmmm? "The train is necessary."
As for being sick of him... well. No. She wasn't. Instead of saying anything about that though, she reached out and brushed her thumb gently over the scar on his lip.
Some things didn't need to be said.
He was listening, of course. He didn't come here not to listen to her, but listening did not mean he agreed with her. She probably expected it by now."It actually isn't." Dash said objecting, not only because he could, but because Althea was wrong. She was wrong, and had to know she was wrong. Why? Because that meant he was right. "The train never was, or has never been a necessity in transporting students. Hogwarts never needed a train, the Ministry simply wanted Hogwarts to have it, and so they did." He shrugged. "The school functioned eight hundred plus years without said train taking them to and from school. So basically-no, you don't have to work that hard."
And while they were on this discussion. "Also, no again Thea. Of course I don't know my history about the statute. I don't know my history of anything for that matter." He leaned forward, closing the distance between. "What do you take me for a History of Magic professor?" Preposterous thought.
He didn't expect it, but it did often happen at random times. Her hand reached forward and thumb grazed across his scar. A certain spot on his arm suddenly began to give off a prickly sensation. Taking Althea's hand in his, a thin smile appeared on his lips."Whenever you do that I always get the subliminal message that you are secretly enjoy moments that i've been in pain.
