That was the name of the Hufflepuff girl, right? The fourth year? What was a Hufflepuff doing at the Ravenclaw house table, then?
Hmm.
Gwendolyn raised her eyes from the tea mug and tracked down the source of the voice. The person who had apparently greeted someone called Glenn was sitting right in front of her… and was grinning. Gwen looked around for a moment, and since there weren’t many people sitting at the table, it didn’t take her long before she realized that the other girl was actually greeting her.
Errr.
‘Gwen’, she said rather curtly, correcting the other Ravenclaw. It was Elise, the girl who she had met at the lake last term.
Elise dropped a scone onto her plate and nibbled at it a little. Chewing on her raisin thoughtfully, she mentally calculated the time it'd take for her to get to the Room of Requirement and get in a few minutes of practice. Far too long. She had Charms to get to in less than half-an-hour.
Looking up, she blushed.
"Sorry, Gwen," she said, sheepishly.
"I'm really horrible with names." She'd just proved it there, hadn't she? Bah.
She'd probably never get it right.
