Somewhere in the back of his mind he sort of hoped she would at least have some little story to tell him. But Kurumi was downright cold today, and it wasn't because of the weather.
"I've been in London. Just going to some general college to get some classes. Then I'm gonna look for a music school somewhere in England." Yay! He was making headway.
"And uhh, how are you? How's your final year going so far?" Good boy. Good boy. Keep it simple. Keep it casual. Maybe he might actually get a decent conversation with her.
Yeah...Adam could put his hand down right now, because Kurumi wasn't going to shake it. She had never been a hand shaker to begin with and she certainly wasn't about to start now. Especially when Adam had shown up with such a smug expression on his face and was not sitting in the seat that should be occupying Lewis. Where was Lewis? She really wanted him to just come in here and literally sweep her off her feet and take her somewhere else.
But he wasn't. Unlike Adam, Kurumi wasn't going to run away from this. In a sense, she almost understood what Adam was trying to do right now. Hadn't it been what she had been trying to do with Jonathan at the end of last term? Did that mean that he... No, Kurumi didn't want to think about Adam possibly harboring feelings for her still.
"
Still playing the drums then?" she asked casually, her violet eyes still fixated on her buttbeer mug. As to his question. "
Probably doing the best I have ever been," she said, her cheeks flushing slightly. Despite a few...bumps and disappointments in the road...Kurumi really was happy and almost comfortable with herself. Only now she was becoming more and more uncomfortable with Adam sitting across from her. "
Looking at universities now. Focusing on NEWT studies..."
