Maybe they could play together? Yeah... that didn't sound like a bad idea. And now... Adeline was just looking at him. And weirdly, at that. What, did he drop something on his clothes? Alec looked down and blinked. Nope. Nothing wrong. He looked back up at Adeline and blinked some more. "Erm... you okay?"

Uh oh. That question. Okay, it wasn't a bad question, it was casual actually, but the fact that she needed to ask it... well, did she know something that he didn't? Gulp. And how was he meant to act casual now? He couldn't just lie to her! He wasn't like that! "Erm... I... not exactly, no," he said, grinning sheepishly and ruffling his hair, "Do you know how to play?"
