Penelope might've felt bad for his sudden mood if she wasn't still upset with him and Anya. She wasn't as heartbroken mad as she'd been during and after the feast, but she still wasn't back to normal or happy or anything. "I just dunno why you'd want to play mini golf with me when there's someone you like a lot more," she replied bluntly. No point in beating around the bush.
And...that next statement was unexpected. Not the sentence itself, but what she suddenly felt when it was spoken. She wasn't happy with him, but...but that didn't mean she actually wanted him to leave...
