Everything happened so fast. One second Laura was there, and then she was running to get a professor as Alyssa yelled at her to leave her alone, and then Sutton turned back to the window to see Alyssa just sitting there crying.
"What on Earth..." she thought to herself.
Not sure when she'd be back or how long it would take Laura to find a professor, Sutton walked to the bed next to the window and sat down, looking up at Alyssa. It was pretty much Sutton had seen anyone cry since she'd come to Hogwarts, and she was starting to wonder if maybe she was the only one who ever got upset around here.
"Alyssa?" she began awkwardly,
"Listen... I'm not sure what's wrong, but I know you're upset, and we're Hufflepuffs, right? And Hufflepuffs stick together! We're there for each other! And even though I don't really know you yet, I care about you. A lot of other people have been there for me this year when I've been upset, and if you need someone to listen, you can talk to me... before anyone else comes back..." she said, hoping that she could help somehow

When she heard Laura come back in the dormitory, Sutton turned away from the window, but she didn't move. She had told Alyssa that she'd be there for her, and she'd meant it. Everyone needed someone to care about them...
