Elise's eyes narrowed when she saw the steam that rose from the water's surface. It probably was a really hot spring. Rolling up her jeans so they wouldn't get wet, she put her bag down by a tree.

Oh, wait. Who was that? It was that Hufflepuff she met at the feast. Alex? Oh, right. Alec. With a C. Beaming widely, she flopped down on the grass next to him. "Hi, Alec!" she grinned. Noticing his feet in the water, Elise stretched her toe out a little and touched the surface of the water.

It was warm. So she slowly dipped her feet into the water and her grin widened. This was nice!
Alec leant back onto his elbows and looked up at the sky. It was a nice day, really. Just a bit cold. And even if his surname was named after the hottest season of the year, the young boy didn't really mind the cold. It was nice, especially when you had your feet dipped into hot water. He splashed his feet around a little, a small childish grin spreading across this face.

This was awesome!

But then someone flopped down on the grass next to him and he immediately stopped splashing. He didn't want to get water in the girl's eyes and he didn't want to come across as being childish or anything. After all, he was fourteen now! He was meant to be on the way to being like one of the cool, older guys. Yeah!

But hey! Wasn't this the girl he had met at the feast? On the Ravenclaw Table? And her name... Ellie? No... "Hey Elise!" GRIN! And... she still looked like someone he knew. Like... like Alice! But apart from their looks, Elise wasn't at all like Alice. Not really. Elise didn't carry around a big stick, did she? ... He hoped not!

"Erm... ice cream?" he asked, holding out the cup and spoon towards her. It was a bit cold for ice cream... but it did have hot fudge on it. And really, who didn't like ice cream?
