A blush appeared in his cheeks, to complement his lop-sided grin. She'd called him Spikey. Not just Spike. Spikey. "No problemo," he said simply. As for repaying the deed? Spike waved his hand dismissively, and shook his head. "There's no need. I just -" couldn't bear to see you hurt, he bit his lip "- I, er, well, as long as you're okay, that's all that matters."

Spike looked down, past Beezus and to his bare stomach. His t-shirt was all bunched up at his chest, and he knew without looking that around his lower spine the rock had left it's mark on his bare skin. But she didn't need to know that. Not unless she saw later, but he was planning on pulling his top down as soon as he possibly could when they finally moved. Unlike others in the school, Spike wasn't one who particularly care for showing off his body. And who knows what Indy would think, if she stumbled across him topless with her bestie in tow. "No broken ribs," he confirmed, "So it's all good." And no need for her to feel sorry. Nuh-uh.

...and for the fact Spike might wonder what Indy would think, and that he knew it should be awkward the longer she was this close, he seemed to relax a bit. His heart was still pounding, and his face glowing warm, but it didn't seem to be as nervy now. What it was hinting at, Spike didn't know. But it felt more...natural now that she was here with him, like this, even though that really didn't make any sense. Maybe he should talk to Finn. He'd know. Finn knew everything.

Spike let out an "Oomph!" as Beezus sat up, her weight now mainly placed on his stomach. Though, he'd admit, it wasn't a bad view from here. He propped himself up on his elbows, his stinging back glad to be off of the rock, and grinned as he surveyed her. He nodded gently, his curls bouncing. "I'd say you'd only a little damp, right now," Spike said, his eyes twinkling. "Which means you haven't yet taken full advantage of the facilities." Nope, she'd just stolen some of the water from his clothes. And that didn't count.
