"It wasn't all that good actually and I think I'd feel better if I were watching the ball fly right before hearing a crashing noise." Just the truth here.
She watched him take his swing at his ball and it didn't go unnoticed that he had used a bit more force. She wanted to use force...
This was worth commenting on but then he interjected, asking if it was her first time too. Well there, that made things not so bad! He was new at this thing too so if she were to "accidentally" knock the ball a couple yards he wouldn't be able to tell that it was on purpose. She smiled sweetly at this thought. "Oh yes, it is and I'm guessing you're first time too?"
Somehow the idea of golf just got a whole lot more fun. "I'm Alexa by the way." She might as well seeing as they would be playing together and she didn't want to spend the entire time calling him boy...or the boy depending on the context. Why was she staring at him?! He was being nice, he said a compliment! He smiled at her, trying to stop the whole staring business. She might've been small and looked around his age, maybe younger but she had a golf club in her hand and she could be lethal. "You didn't hit anything" he chuckled, looking over at where the ball had landed. It was a good thing as well, he might of got the blame if she had. "And it was pretty good. For a girl anyway" he teased her. He didn't mean that of course, Terry knew that there were probably hundreds of girls with better golf skills then he had.
His ball landed a good distance away from the whole it was supposed to go into but he was quite pleased with his first result, it wasn't like it flew miles away or straight into the Lake. That wouldn't of been good. "Yeah, I'm not really a sporty person" he informed her. He horse rode sometimes and he didn't mind running long distances or hiking across the island he lived on but team sports and stuff lie that wasn't his thing. "But it looked fun so I thought I'd give it a try" he chuckled.
He leaned against a conveniently located tree and waited for her to swing. "I'm Terry" he smiled in a friendly manner. "I'm a second year Slytherin." Everyone seemed to state their year and house when they introduced themselves so he thought he'd do it as well. It sounded polite anyway and he didn't want to sound rude.
