"Why are you running away from it then?" Spike said with a laugh. A glance back at the sunny rock told him that Matilda was quite happy, and had taken the time to get a nap. Evidently she didn't really care what was going on, as long as she didn't get wet, and got lots of petting and even a few treats to make up for it. Spike gave her a smile, before turning his attentions back to Beezus.

"Here comes the HUGGLE MONSTER!" he said, spreading his arms wide like he used to do to scare Indy when she was younger. Hehehe. He leapt over some rocks at the edge of the hot spring, just as Beezus dodged back the other direction. Argh! And now he thought about it, his shoes were squelching underneath him.

Squelch, squelch, squelch.

He flicked them off lightly, glad he never properly tied the laces on his sneakers. "I didn't know a friend would do such a thing," Spike said, raising an eyebrow - mock upset at the thought she could do such a thing. And he had another card to play... "Plus, a Prefect, I can ensure that such behaviour doesn't go unnoticed." To him at least. Spike didn't have powers to take points and such, and this was fun so he didn't care to - but Beezus might not know that...

Ruin her hair? Spike shook his head, his wet curls flicking water spray around. "Not usually no," he said with a smirk. "But look what you did to mine. It's a wet mess," as opposed to his usual dry mess, "I think fair's fair, don't you?" And then, he cut the corner and preempted her next dodge...
