Okay. Alexa took a deep breath, feeling herself shrink under the glare of the rather intimidating woman. "Well you see...it's a long story..." Her hand subconsciously moved to the spot on her head that she had been whacked. It was throbbing a bit and she was sure the fear that was rising in her was only making it worse.
