Carefully she placed the business end of the putter against her purple ball. She had stood there observing others for almost an hour so she had some idea how this was done. Nell swung back and tapped the ball. It rolled for about 3 feet and then came to a stop.
She put her hand on her hip and glared at the offending ball. She glanced at Edmund. "Use a little force at least."
Her smile was cute. Too cute. Edmund beamed at her and leant against the putter as he watched her attempt to hit the ball. Pressing his lips together so he wouldn't laugh, he figured he probably wouldn't do any better. "I will." Nope. Wasn't laughing. He put his ball down and then positioned himself like Nell had done. Copying her, but giving a little more force, he watched the ball roll along. His grin was massive as he watched it get closer to the hole and stop a couple of feet to the left of it. This was just so muggle!
