Making sure that her shoes were clean, Alyssa knocked on the door.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Then she stood back and waited for the professor to respond.
Isabelle was having a quiet cup of tea when there was a knock at the door. Or two. Gulping down the mouthful she had, she placed the cup and saucer down on her desk and flicked her wand at the door, causing it to click as it unlocked.
"Come in!"

He eyed the seats and then the door. Did he have to knock first or just sit there and wait for her to come out. Was there some sort of spell that could detect a presence, or maybe they had telepathy, his mum seemed to have it sometimes. He was here on his mothers orders, not that he wouldn't have come along anyway, it would've been really mean of him not to.
He knocked on the door, a special little rhythm that he hoped would be a little more interesting then the typical knock knock that most students did. He took a seat on one of the chairs and waited for Isa-- Wait what did he have to call her now? Professor Magnus? Yeah that was it. Waited for Professor Magnus to come out and retrieve him.
"Terry?!" Isabelle had just come from the room down the end of the corridor. The one she'd been setting up for the kids to use later, once lessons had started. It was as she was locking it again that she heard the knocking sound. Squinting down the corridor she made out the shape of her cousin.
"I wasn't expecting you here yet," because she was expecting him at some point. She just figured he'd want to settle in first, before meeting with the embarrassing family-staff-member.
"Come in, come in," she grinned, rushing along and unlocking her office door.
"How are you getting on so far?" Issy asked over her shoulder as she entered and left the door for him.
