It may not help Violet or Selina get the answer they're looking for, but it was definitely a start that could help them both a lot.
"Why don't you start from the beginning Sely.." she walked towards her friend, who looked like she was fighting back tears struggling not to cry. "When did you and Elektra talk about...that? And how did it get brought up?"
The redhead did not even want to look at Violet right now. It was not because she did not trust that Violet was telling the truth, it was more that her and Elektra's conversation had really hurt. The redhead had not been lying when she had told Elektra earlier that she was not longer afraid of her. There had been a time long ago when Elektra's threats made Selina buckle and shiver in her boots. Now she felt nothing but amusement toward her nasty side. If she wanted to be bitter that was fine. However, what Elektra said about relationships really struck Selina. More than she had anticipated.
Violet said something about starting from the beginning, but honestly there was not much to really say. Her and Elektra had gotten into a confrontation and Elektra had used that tidbit of information to really strike the final nail in Selina's coffin of insecurities about the whole subject. The redhead has always been insecure about that period of time in their relationship and she had just exploited it like it was no big deal. Well, it meant something to her... and it really, really hurt.
But Violet was confused. She owed that much to the blonde to tell her some of what had happened,
"I was hanging up posters for my beater bat and Elektra found one. She crumbled it up and made fun of the posters and try to intimidate me. I told her that she didn't scare me anymore and she got all flustered. Then, of course, Gideon got brought up. He always does. And she threw that out there... along with the fact that all happy relationships end. It was only a matter of time." Look at Chris and Violet.
