Really? REALLY?! A table full of professors and the Headmistress was just yards away, and one of the Slytherins decides to draw their wand and cast on somebody? "You're seriously drawing your wand and casting while they," she said, gesturing toward the staff table, "are just footsteps away?" What was the deal with the students on this end of the table? "Are you trying to land us in third place again? Or worse, ...dead last."
The other girl was a Gryffindor. If she wanted to get herself into trouble, so be it, but the Slytherins just couldn't go down for the Gryffindors.
When Lex saw another girl getting annoyed she figured it was because of the charm cast but really she didn't care because with the charm back on she wouldn't have to lose 50 points--and neither would they! She was going to let it go but then the girl started making a fuss.
She shook her head at the girl frantically before drawing for the piece of paper and scribbling as fast as she could; hopefully it was still legible.
She was saving you from losing points. Prof. Scabior put on a silencing charm and if anyone but him takes it off then the person who took it off, the girly who's supposed to be watching us and I would lose 50 points each.
Then she handed the note to the girl.
