Sarah sat down at the Gryffindor table which was teeming with life. All the students were happy to be back and the new ones were excited. She caught sight of the known faces and waved to them.
Many first years this time. And Gryffindor, it seems had opened its arms wide for the firsties. "
Hello people" she said aloud. "
How was the vacation?" she asked, to no one in particular.

Sir Nicholas was in an excitable mood, or at least, as excitable as one could get whilst still maintaining their dignity. Wafting up through the floor beneath the table, Nicholas rose to hover amongst the students, keeping his eye out for the first years.

Sarah was used to this.
Duh, been here for four years. She smiled, thinking of how she'd been terrified at the idea of 'house ghosts' during her first year. "
