Ah so she is proud to be Gryffindor... which is a GREAT thing because everything about her reactions with the Sorting Hat was, in his view, quite Gryffindorian....but it was that last bit she added that got him wondering if his slightly deaf ear was playing tricks on him again "I'm sorry--GRAVY?" Did she actually say that? Sure the hat was old but it wasnt like... crispy or anything. Or edible for that matter.
Yeah he had a good point right there. If he hadn't left when he did then he probably would been thrown across the compartment....or through the window depending on where he might have stood had he stayed. That was actually a scary thought but an intriguing one nonetheless. She couldn't help but wonder how cool it would have been to get thrown through the window...where would she land....?
She laughed at the clear cut confusion on his face and in his voice.
"Ah yes, gravvy because I'm sure the hat is not all that tasty or chewy so I need something to help with that." Nod. But then she figured she would explain the need for wanting to make the hat more edible in the first place. She looked to the staff table and pointed.
"You see that woman up there? The one that was introduced as Lainey? Well she said that I wouldn't be a Ravenclaw--she sniffed me and knew...right so I argued against that then she said I'd have to eat the hat if I wasn't a claw." And there was the explanation. It was all
the woman's fault.

Kinda wished his mom was smiling and waving and being all proud about him, but that was another matter.
And THEN he noticed it. The glaring/ eye-stabbing thing between Louisa and Vivi, with added soundbytes by Max and Addy Jacks. He gave Jacks the dont-stir-the-pot side-glance and nodded at Max introducing Louisa by name. He should do the same the other way around "Uhm yes Louisa.... this is Genevieve Branxton, newly transferred from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and President Rae-Branxton's daughter."
Her eyes went wide when she heard Vickers say what he said. She turned to Vivi immediately, shock still quite clear on her face.
"You're the daughter of that other woman up there?!" Not that it mattered much seeing as she was hopeless when it came to politics and following it but meh, she liked making reactions while they were still applicable and for once she wasn't the last to know!....er....or was she...?
