It didn't take much to know that the conversation wasn't going well but neither boys seemed to care that she was about to get them in trouble; not that she figured they would--they two were in a whole different category of boys.

Were all first years so strange or was it just the girl ones? He was SO much more mature than them.

Theo had given up with the lowering of his voice at this point. The girl could hear them, he didn't CARE.

Okay, miss sassy... "Oooooh, I'm shivering." Theo added an over-dramatic shudder for extra affect. Yea, the girl looked a bit older than him, but she wasn't THAT old. And she certainly was no prefect.
And a prefect would be the only old!person to tell HIM what to do, thanks.
"No I don't, its Goblin magic. You get the safe already charmed." West answered, determined to carry on a normal conversation despite girls being weird around them.
"Well that just proves that she's mean, if she didn't want to be your friend, and kissed you even though you didn't want her to, and then got mad and rude about it afterwards." West said comfortingly.
West gave Theo a little nudge with his elbow. Shhhhh. They could totally get the older girl on their side!

"At a muggle school? Because Theo doesn't want to kiss you? That's pretty strange. I think you should sit down and stop being rude and stuff. The Headmistress is giving a speech you know. We're supposed to listen and then we get food and nobody likes a tattle-tale or a liar. And nobody will like you if you call them mean names." West had lots of good advice.
He looked up towards the staff table, waiting for the Headmistress to continue and maybe hoping that one of the gooders would come over and fix the nutter girl who didn't know how to be a Slytherin.
