Lex gave the girl a curious look when she saw her straightening up in her seat. With an eyebrow raised she silently questioned her actions. If she didn't know any better she would have thought she was trying to look taller; Lex did that all the time, even when she knew that the other person was older. Right but seeing as she did know better, or think that she knew better she figured the girl was doing something completely unrelated to that and she was just over thinking things. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately.
"YES!" Lex wouldn't deny it. This feast was the worst feast she had ever been to. Why? Quite simple--there was no food!!! Nothing but some Professors sitting up on some platform thing making nice with each other while she starved. Sigh. Then they wondered why she went looking for trouble fun so often. "I hope she starts soon; not that I'll be listening but it just means we'll be one step closer to getting some food." She was getting kinda hungry and she had shared most of her candy on the train and on the boat ride over. Not that it mattered. She wanted real food now.
Lex smiled at the girl in response to her statement. The normal custom was to return the small compliment but she liked to save that sentence until the end of the conversation. There was no need to waste a compliment; what if the person turned out to be horrible?! Though she was sure this Cassia girl wasn't...but she still wouldn't break her own rule so she moved onto the girl's question. "Yup and proud of it." BEAM. "Oh and the trip wasn't so bad! I made some nice friends and stuff but then it sucked that the train broke down. The bloody thing made us have to travel by portkey and now I've hurt my wrist." But that was all she was willing to say on that matter because, again, she could go without a 'go to the healer' lecture! "But really I didn't mind the interruption all that much...it was kinda fun..." She was hoping a monster was outside but there was no luck in that happening...
Lex saw the girl turn her attention to the Professors then she heard the Headmistress speak. When everyone started clapping she felt she should do the same so she did. Finally.
Oh the joy of not being the youngest in a conversation, Cassia was savoring the feeling. Though the two girls were considered quite the same age but still Cassia ought to feel a bit different. And it's not like she was harassing the girl or anything. A couple pieces of advice and a bit of points of views won't hurt. On the contrary Cassia was giving the girl her valuable experience. So generous she was. Wait..what did Alexa just say, "
Um..you know it would be useful to you know listen to what the headmistress would say," She said arching un eyebrow at the girl. Wasn't she curious about her new school's headmistress?
Gryffindor's attitude is starting to show. Though Cassia didn't mind that because she considered the lions in the next place of coolness…after the Snakes of course.
Hmm…the pride of the house, Cassia could understand that. "
Yes Gryffindor is a cool house," she encouraged "
As well," Meaning that it wasn't as cool as Slytherin! Cassia nodded while Alexa talked about the unfortunate incident with the train. "
Yeah it really wasn't delightful," She agreed. "
But you got to try travelling by a portkey ," She offered trying to show the-not-so-clear and convincing bright side of the situation.
Oh…She found it…..
fun!Ahem…it's good Cassia wasn't around people when she freaked out the moment the train broke down. It would have totally caused some laughs and jokes but come on she doesn't like the darkness OKAY! Besides she got a grip on herself when she realized that she wasn't going to die. But it was still a shame Cassia felt that the firstie here seemed to enjoy the entire thing. Urgh..Cassia so needed to control her reactions. "
Yeah it was so much fun pffft," Cassia tried to sound indifferent about it.
Cassia creased her eyebrows when Alexa mentioned her hurt wrist, "
Oh are you alright?" She asked really concerned. "
You think you can handle it…no need to see the….." Cassia swallowed,
"Healer.." Cassia wondered if she should tell Alexa about the
evil not so nice healer. Or it'd be better to leave it for another time let's not tell the girl about the not so sweet things at the castle.
