"I can't seem to find her," she confessed. "But Kurumi bandaged this up to keep it stable for now." She'd had to say the name carefully. Cause she had a tendency to say Krummy. And that wasn't her name.
"How was your summer?" she asked, cocking her head to one side.
She couldn't find the healer? Presley's brow furrowed.
"I'd offer to fix it for you, but I'm not exactly focused right now. It could end up worse than before." She grinned at the younger girl. Presley was good at mending broken bones. She was training to be a healer. But today of all days? Well, she didn't want to accidentally remove the girls arm or something. Though she was upset that the healer wasn't there to help people. It was plain unprofessional.
"My summer was pretty good," Presley lied easily, surrepitously crossing her fingers under the table. A trick Leo had taught her when she was teeny. He'd told her it made the lies not count, and Pres had never been able to shake the habit.
"How about yours? Did you do anything fun?"
