NO.
It just couldn't be. IT COULDNT BE!
Elliot kicked the chair next to her over, regardless of whatever unimportant individual was sitting in it, and pulled up a chair..."Sit. Now." she ordered, her eyes narrowed in worry..poor Lottie...POOR WITTLE WOTTIE. "Lottie...you'll be fine. You'll bring honor and glory to that..." she refrained form wincing, sneering, or doing anything negative, "house. He must have made a mistake, though, Lottie..." but WAS that possible?
ANd Soaps. She bared her teeth angrily. "I swear, Lottie, do NOT get friendly with THAT! You hear me? You are better than her. Remember that," she said, putting her arm around the little girl comfortingly. She then slid a glass of water her way. "Drink it. You're...shaken."
She was stil shocked. SHOCKED.
OH? Ouch, that must have hurt. To whoever had hit the floor. But it kind of brought a smile to her face. Before her frown and current concern washed over her face again. Not because of the fallen student, but because of her own problem.
There had to be something wrong with her if this wasn't a mistake. But, there was nothing wrong with her, so it MUST be a mistake. It is. It was.
She sighed. And didn't hesitate on sitting next to Elliot.
WHAT?! Her eyes narrowed at Elliot. How could she be fine? She...couldn't wear yellow things! She couldn't stay close to the kitchens! Close to the house-elves?! What was a Hufflepuff, anyway? What do badgers do? This was...ridiculous. Her eyes narrowed even more at the table with the yellow ones. "It is a mistake." She repeated. And tilted her head a bit. Honor and glory to herself, not the House. "Honor and glory to me...," surely Elliot could end that sentence in her mind.
The frown seemed to have dissipated a bit, "I'm better than them," Elliot was right about that, and she didn't need to worry about this Soapy business.
She sighed again, clearly wounded by the Hat's words. "It's...just terrible news." Hence why she was so....shaken. Elliot's words. So, she did as told. And she drank some water. |
