She tried not to giggle as she walked over, looking around it for familiar faces. Queen Alice wasn't here, or Melanie couldn't see her, so she supposed the girl was getting proper treatment with the nurse or healer or something. Melanie couldn't believe it now, she was actually here... at Hogwarts. All thoughts about the train and the accidents that had happened left her mind as she looked up at the candles floating around.
She was at Hogwarts. Where was she supposed to sit though?
Melanie looked around the table again, smile frozen on her face. She was so happy right then. Especially since she spotted a familiar blonde head talking to the elder student from before. "QUEEN ALICE!!!!" Melanie exclaimed, beaming. She wasn't sure if her smile could get any bigger as she raced over hugging the girl, careful not to make her lose her balance or anything. "Are you alright? Does it still hurt? You're in one piece right?" Melanie asked. Alice had made her worry big time with the broken leg and she was still a bit worried about her being here. "Shouldn't you be resting? You should be with a healer or something," Melanie added. She was unable to frown though because her Queen Alice was here.
Oh cookies. Melanie glanced at the cookies. Was she allowed to take one? They looked really pretty... hehe...
And.. and here was Melanie! Hehe. She got a hug from a
Melon. Alice hugged her back, all the while wondering what Melanie was doing at the Gryffindor table. Was she a Gryffindor?!
"MELANIE! What're you doing here?! Are.. are.. you a Gryffindor?!" OHYAY. That meant that Alice and Melanie would be ROOMMATES. Oh gosh. So fun. It took all of Alice's strength to keep herself from hopping around in excitement. Which she couldn't do because of her stupid leg.
"That's so awesome. We're going to LIVE together." Best. Day. Ever. Apart from breaking her leg and all. But, yeah, you get the point.
"Yeah, I'm okay," she told her friend reassuringly.
"It hurts a little when I walk on it, but that's why I have the crutches, see?" She held out a crutch for Melanie. They were kind of fun to walk on. You didn't wave to move your legs at all, you just had to swing them.
"I'm in one piece! It's okay, Mel. Caaaaalm doooown." BUT. Enough about herself! She wanted to know about MELANIE.
"What did the Sorting Hat say? What did it tell you? What happened?!"
You sure missed a lot when you broke your leg.

"Kurumiiiiii!"she beamed as she ran to her side, couldn't help but come out with a big hug since they barely could meet each other during summer time and not even at DA nor on the train. As she released her grip, she noticed that there was another girl standing next to her, crutch-ed. Probably got injured during the portkey ride. "You okay?"she asked gently, even though she had never met this girl before.
And here was someone else next to Kurumi! Alice smiled back at the person.
"I'm okay. I just broke my leg when some trunks fell on my leg when the train stopped, it's really nothing." She didn't understand why everyone thought a broken leg was bad. Worse things happened at Hogwarts, right?
"Did you hurt yourself? Are you okay?" The lioness hoped more people weren't hurt. She didn't like it when people were upset. And this girl seemed rather nice, so she most definitely would not like it if she was hurt.

Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped slightly at the sight of tiny little Alice on crutches. "Alice! I'm so glad to see you!" Kurumi chirped as she refrained from throwing her arms around the young lioness. That wouldn't be the best of ideas considering her balance was probably all coley wobbled at the moment. "How are you? Feeling better?"
Kurumi assumed Walnut had made his way up to the common room now and was sitting on his throne waiting for them all to come. He knew better than to show up at a feast...hopefully.
And then Melanie joined them soon after. "Oh! Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Alice smiled back at Kurumi. The Prefect seemed happy, surrounded by little Gryffindors and friends, and it was hard not to let her mood to get to you. The air just seemed happy. "I'm glad to see you, too." She really was. She wanted to thank Kurumi for helping her out, especially when so many other people had needed her attention as well.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I'll visit the Healer right after the feast and she can mend me up really quickly! Until then, I guess I'll just work with the crutches.." They weren't so bad. Honestly. And she could poke things with them.
"I dropped the pretty.. I mean, err, HANDSOME.. kitty of at the Common Room before I came down. Last I saw, he was curled up by the fire and licking himself." Cats were odd creatures.. but they were still adorable.
"I figured you wouldn't want me to bring him down.." He would probably lunge at the fish on the table or something. Didn't cats like fish?
"What about you? Have the devilish ickle firsties collapsed you from exhaustion yet?" She gave Kurumi a small smile. They definitely were a handful this year, they were.
