They were the oldies. They should know.

She tried not to burst out laughing as the younger girl wiggled her bottom. "I hope you're okay, then," she said, laughing lightly. This girl was rather funny. "It's a good think that your bum's not broken. If it was, they might have to chop that off, too."

Wink.

Elodie wasn't so certain. Because broken bones could be extremely ugly and if something were to go wrong, then this girl could end up in a WHEELCHAIR. Which Elodie would ask to borrow so she could wheel down hills and be cooler than she already was, but that wasn't the issue at hand. The issue at hand was the girls hair. "I don't have a brush, but I...I kind of sorted it." It wasn't like she could do much else, was it really?

She was being told to calm down now, and Elodie pouted at that. She was extremely calm, thank you very much. She totally hadn't cried today. Lie. She totally wasn't a shaking mess. Another lie. And she totally hadn't been so scared that she had planned her own funeral already. [s]Total, and major lie.

YAY. Happyface. Elodie beamed as she succeeded to make the other girl laugh, and gave one last bottom wiggle. "You can't chop one of those off." And if they even attempted it? Oh no for them.

SPOILER!!: Kurumi

As the case was, however, it only made her feel more panicky on the inside. She didn't show it in her face - her eyes always lied though - and she swiftly made her way over with Elodie while offering that little one a reassuring squeeze. "I'm glad you and Gemini are alright," she whispered to the girl, mostly so she knew that Kurumi hadn't forgotten about her.

Violet eyes back on Alice for now, they widened and nearly popped out of her head when she said her leg was broken. BROKEN? Oh Merlin, yep...for sure Kurumi was not going to be able to fix this nor did she even want to try. Anyone remember what happened historically with a certain Lockhart? Yeah, knowing Kurumi and her tendencies to melt things on first goes with spells under pressure....just no.

"Um, here, have another cookie...all of you have a cookie if you want," she said as she passed them out to the group present. "No one is going to die," Kurumi said, trying to laugh it off. "Remember, Headmaster Tate gave us all the order not to do so." Or, well, the former Headmaster Tate did. He would always be Headmaster to Kurumi though - now they had a HeadMISTRESS and that was entirely different.

"I really don't want to move you, just in case we make things worse on accident," Kurumi said softly to Alice, glancing around and her violet eyes lying on the boy present. She didn't recognize him, but his arms looked sturdy enough... "Elodie, no one is getting anything chopped off," she said, her eyes snapping back to the girl and giving her hand another reassuring squeeze.

By this time, Walnut had jumped out of Kurumi's arms - seeing as she was preoccupied and not able to worship him properly anyway, and was now strutting over towards a young girl (iBeJenn) and rubbing himself up against her leg for a moment before strutting over towards Alice. Sure, he was a selfish cat at times, but he DID have a heart. And, well, this one had never upset him to the point that he wanted to pee on anyone, so love and comfort he gave as long as she scratched him behind the ears.

Kurumi's head snapped to when she heard the new Groundskeeper's booming voice. Right...accounted for. Kurumi was working on that and since Alice was no minor injury...it meant that they were going to have to move her.

Kurumi was suddenly reminded of Professor Zookara and his first aid lesson in her first term. Oh how she missed that man and his rubber ducks...

Still, Kurumi did NOT want to move Alice, but since she was being given no choice and seeing how crowded and insane the platform was...leaving her here was also dangerous. "Okay, Alice, hold still for a moment while I get a bandage on you." Kurumi removed her wand from her robe's pocket and swooshed it over the young lioness' leg. "Inurio Bani," she whispered as a large bandage was conjured out of the air and wrapped itself around her leg for added support. "Try not to move that leg at all...or either of your legs, okay? Let us carry you over to the Groundskeeper."

Us. Yes. Us. Her eyes darted to the boy again. "Can you take her under the arms?"

Kurumi took a crouching position by Alice's legs, more around her quads than feet because that would only cause more damage. If something was going to go wrong with moving the Gryffindor, Kurumi wanted the blame to be put on her and not the others. "On three, one...two...." And Kurumi began to lift up on Alice until she was holding her at a comfortable height. "You alright?" she asked, her eyes darting around when she saw two Hufflepuffs seeming to be in some distress as well.

"Bliss, Glenn," Kurumi called while Walnut wove around her feet. "Go see the Groundskeeper about that wrist!" Or, well, mostly Bliss...but Glenn could go with her for support...or if she was hurt too. Kurumi hadn't really heard the entire conversation.

And THEN the Groundskeeper was asking for Prefects to get their housemates together. Well, first things first....and that was getting Alice to him. Waddling along with the small girl tucked into her arms - sorry Elodie, we had to let go of your hand for this - Kurumi approached the Groundskeeper and glanced over her shoulder.

"Sir, I managed a simple bandage on her leg, but she thinks it is broken," Kurumi explained as she continued to hold Alice's legs a little higher in the air. Kurumi would put Alice down, but if they just needed to pick her back up again it would only increase the chance for more injury...right?

See, this was why Kurumi was NOT going to be a Healer...at least not for people.

"I'm glad you're okay..." Elodie whispered back, resting her head against Kurumi's arm again, so no one saw the little wibble. Yes, Elodie, Gemini, Kurumi and her cat were OKAY. Thank gosh. But lots of people were hurt, and no one knew WHY the train wasn't moving, did they? No one knew, and that unnerved her more than anything. Because what if someone was trying to STOP them getting to Hogwarts?! HM? WHAT IF IT WAS DANGEROUS. DID YOU THINK OF THAT PROFESSORS?! NO. NO YOU DIDN'T. And Elodie wouldn't be a nice ghost, fyi.

When Kurumi let go of her hand, Els reached into her backpack, and patted Gemini quickly, before removing her baby blanket, and stroking the tassles along her nose. Some sort of comfort, she presumed....

She didn't like it when Mel was scared, 'cause SHE was the mature one. But Melanie seemed to be enjoying the presence of the cat. He was absolutely adorable. What was his name, Peanut? no, no, it was.. Walnut, she thought. Alice was very fond of cats. Especially pretty ones like Kurumi's. "You're a pretty kitty, aren't you?" she asked, cooing and rubbing the ickle think behind it's ears. She pulled the cat down next to her and pet it repeatedly. This one was as pretty as Penelope's.

OHYAY. Kurumi was offering her more cookies! Alice gingerly took one and popped it into her mouth. Mhmm. She would break her leg a thousand more times if it meant more of her Hogwarts Momma's cookies. But if she said something like that, Kurumi would probably have a panic!blush!attack, so she decided to keep her mouth shut. "My leg's not getting chopped off? I'm not going to die?!" YAY. Finally. SOME good news. "Awesome. I like my leg. And my life." Very much, thank you. Take a note of that, God, please do.

And then.. Kurumi was bandaging her legs? The bandage was made for support and was rather right. Alice couldn't help but let out a teeny cry of pain. "OOWWWWW." Okay. So. Not very teeny. But it did hurt quite a bit. And it was very awkward. Especially when Kurumi and Jake picked her up and stole her away from Alec and Melanie and James and Anya and Penelope. She especially wanted her Princess right now. "MELANNIE. NUUU." She grabbed onto Melanie's hand and dragged her alongside of the awkward group shuffle over to the Groundskeeper, only releasing her when they reached him. Kurumi was holding her under one arm, Jake under the other, and her legs were dangling awkwardly. Kurumi took her over to the Groundskeeper.. and.. wow, this was embarrassing. Most of the school was here and could probably see her hoisted up in the air.

She really hoped her friends couldn't see this.

SPOILER!!: Groundskeeper C:

Ahh. A stretcher. So Alice could lie down? YAY. She wanted a good long nap. She definitely needed to block everything out.. the scariness of the dark, abandoned train and the portkeys and the broken leg and the creepy wombat that belonged to the Groundskeeper. But she couldn't do that just yet. The man had conjured an odd looking device that looked like it was supposed to fit on a foot. And.. what?! Kurumi-cookie was supposed to PUT that on her?!

"Uhm.. what is that thing? Is it gonna hurt?" Was this the treatment Headmaster Redhead was talking about?! Was that device going to cut her open and dissect her insides?! NUUU. She wasn't going to be dissected. She had promised herself. "It looks creepy. I don't wanna put it on. Is it safe? Are you sure I'm supposed to?" She looked at Kurumi, her eyes wide and questioning. She wasn't going to put it on unless Kurumi said it was okay.

Nodding her head a little more obviously at her cat, the feline understood this silent signal (surprise!) and waddled his stubby legged self over to the girl and began to rub up against her leg again - putting on a show that he actually cared about her concern. "I think he wants to comfort you," Kurumi said softly.

Her attention was back on the Groundskeeper when he spoke and her heart somewhat sunk. HE didn't know what to do either? Or, well, he did but didn't. "Yes, I think I can sir," she nodded as she accepted it from him and turning her attention back to Alice.

Only to see Milton scampering off in the distance... "OI!" Kurumi shouted, taking a note from Selina. "Milton, grab some students before you take off!"

He DID have a badge on after all - even if the word didn't start with a P.

Now that Alice was on the stretcher, Kurumi held the splint over her leg and was just about to slip it on her and tie it securely when Alice began to panic slightly. Offering yet another cookie, Kurumi began to talk while she worked. She needed to get this on and fast. "It's not going to hurt. You might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but this is going to help keep your leg from getting worse. They are made to keep you stable to decrease pain and prevent further injury. I've worn one loads of times," Kurumi explained, splint on her leg now and her fingers moving quickly over the ties. "Kendo injuries and mostly on my arms and wrists. You've outdone me." Lame joke, but she needed to keep Alice distracted while she tied all these ties.

Tightening the last one to hold the splint in place, Kurumi slowly removed her hand. "How does that feel?"

And then Kurumi's attention was elsewhere when one of the Hogsmeade shopkeepers arrived. What was going on? Did moderate chaos count as an answer? "We all just arrived by portkey, sir. The Hogwarts Express...broke down." Or something. Kurumi really wasn't sure what happened. Was anyone? What happened to Mr. Shifty?

At his next request, Kurumi looked back at Alice. "Alice, you are going to be fine. The Groundskeeper will look after you. I'm going to take Melanie towards the carriages now and we will see you at the feast." Kurumi's eyes somewhat bore into the young lioness in attempt to show her her sincerity.

Which was also when she offered her hand towards the other girl, the one Walnut had HOPEFULLY been distracting during all this.

Alice was saying she was fine. Was the girl unaware of the fact that she was the one sitting on the ground with a broken leg?! How could Queen Alice say she was fine?! Melanie’s eyes just widened. ”But you’re not!” she protested. And she was pretty sure someone else would back her up on this. A broken leg was definitely not fine. Ever. A person was fine when they were all completely in one piece with nothing broken or bruised. She bit her lip, watching Alice pet the cat and then winced when she heard Alice let out that cry of pain or something.

Because it sounded really painful. Melanie was just going to stand there and wait but Alice had grabbed her hand. Gripping Alice’s hand, she followed, trying to keep up and not run into anyone as Alice was being carried over to the man.

There was a stretcher and a splint. That was never good. It was like… going to the hospital or something. Didn’t the man know some spells or something that could heal Alice? But it relaxed Melanie when the elder girl said that Alice would be fine. And the cat was rubbing against her leg again. The cat was definitely calming Melanie down a lot though… It was fuzzy… in a way. Like her teddy bear buried at the bottom of her bag. Melanie winced again though, when she watched the girl put the splint on Alice.

Alice was going to be fine. Queen Alice would definitely be fine, right? Of course. It was a broken leg… broken legs healed and no one would have to carry the younger girl to the castle. Wait – what? They would see her at the feast? Wasn’t Alice coming with them? Melanie bit her lip and looked at the elder’s girl outstretched hand.

“I’ll see you at the feast, Queen Alice, be careful,” Melanie said, pulling her blanket out of her bag and covering the younger girl. “Be warm, it might get cold,” she added. Because she didn’t want Queen Alice to catch a cold AND have a broken leg. Melanie took the girl’s hand and glanced at the blonde, then looked at the cat. “Let’s go kitty,” she said to the cat.

SPOILER!!: Alice & Melanie

Kurumi laced her fingers together with the two younger girls, Melanie and Elodie, and was just about to begin to make her way towards the carriages when Alice spoke again, clearly still panicking. Not that Kurumi could blame her. This was just madness.

"Alice, you are going to be just fine and we will all see you soon at the feast. Riding in the boats will be safer for you and your leg," she said softly. She glanced at Walnut and gave him another nod towards Alice. Walnut's ears might have gone down for a moment, but he eventually agreed. See, he could be a softie....best be getting loads of tuna flakes out of all this...and a proper pampering... So he strut over towards the girl and flopped onto the stretcher. "Just be brave. Remember, you're a Gryffindor and you now have the King of the Gryffindors with you," she winked, nodding at her cat.

Self-made title by the feline really.

Standing back up, Kurumi tugged gently on the two girls. "To the carriages then. See you soon, Alice." And with that Kurumi began to walk towards the carriages, pausing just for a brief moment. "Second through seventh years! If you are not injured please make your way to the carriages!" she repeated. There were some new people to have portkeyed to the platform.

Kurumi's own ears were still ringing slightly and she had a terrible headache from her fall on the train, but it wasn't anything to be concerned about, right? N'aw, she was fine. So, off to the carriages...which caused Kurumi to shiver slightly.

She had almost forgotten that she could see thestrals now. "Alright, in you two go."

The whole relocating thing seemed a blur to Elodie and it really did show on her face. She wasn't tiny at all, but she wasn't like some of the seventh years and tall, because she was only twelve. But on the little girls face, it could only be taken as worry. Her eyes bugged out. Her hair a mess, even still. Her blanket stroking her nose. And now her thumb in her mouth. She had outgrown the whole thumb in the mouth thing when she was five. It had reappeared after her mother's death, but only for a few months.

Braison said it only happened when she felt like a baby. When she felt helpless.

Which was right.

That was how she felt right now. Helpless.

She'd followed closely behind Kurumi, purely so she had someone that knew what they were doing around her. And she didn't want to leave her side, because she felt safe there. With Lady Kurumi.

Quiet. Quiet. Quiet.

She stayed that way until Kurumi's hand slipped back into hers, and it seemed that awoke her because she gave the hand a squeeze and leant her head back into the arm of her saviour. "Where are we going? Why are we leaving her? I don't like this, Kurumi. I want to go home. Can you take me home, now? I'm sure they won't mind. Please, Kurumi?" Were the words that divulged their quick walk to a carriage, and the final plea came as Elodie climbed into it, watching over her shoulder, a pout set on her face.

She guessed that Kurumi was going to get into the carriage with them, and therefore budged up so there was room beside her....but then her older friend was leaving them. "Ku...Ku...Miss?! Miss! Don't...I..." WIBBLE. She was being abandoned, and she couldn't just handle that. No, no, she couldn't. Hanging out the carriage door, Els held her empty hand out (aka, the one that had been holding the prefect's) and pouted. "They won't die, I promise! Come with uuuussss." Please, please, pretty please?

Blanket and nose snuggle.
