They would be using portkeys to get the rest of the way to the station. Made sense seeing other than walking in the night that was really the only option around. Not everyone had brooms, there were no floos on the train and the older students and adults couldn't very well use side-long apparation to move the whole lot to their destination.
Speaking of brooms since the prefect figured the rest of their belongings would be taken care of, Gideon thought he might as well grab the small stuff he had with him here. He took hold of his sachel over his arm and his broom in on hand before touching the glass mug, being the first and taking the lead. "See ye on the other side," he mused as he awaited the portkey to work, the items glowing blue.
Aye...he was glad Corvin was on his own.
That kid didn't waste a second....good man.
Armen looked at the other people in the compartment expectantly, hoping they woudl hurry up and take the other available Portkeys before they left. He didn't want to have to make more or use up the ones he had left.

See ye on the other side..
"That.. didn't sound morbid at all," she breathed out with a sarcastic tone, looking up at all the others available. "What about my cats?" Even if she missed some of those portkeys already, she was not going to leave her cats behind.
One girl didn't seem to quite so eager to use this new alternative and Armen looked at her and then at the adults in the room, where was the Headmistress telling them that things were okay and to just trust him on this? Geez.
"Yes, you can take your cats with you but they need to be a in a basket or something, that way they don't fall out on the journey." Because frankly if that happened, Armen had no idea how in Merlin's Beard you would ever be able to find them again.
Yeah so basket or something please.
