Ugh. BLOOD?! Why was there blood? "Who's bleeding?" she asked no one in particular.
When Kurumi offered the cookies, Beezus shook her head, bent her knees, pulled it close to her chest and rested her head on her kneecaps. "Oh? Maybe he can do something to fix the train then!" Since he probably was someone from the Magical Transportation Department since he administered Apparition Exams. That ought to keep their spirits up for the meantime.
Kurumi turned her attention away from the Headmistress
who was leaving? and back to Beezus...who was looking a little confused. "
I met her in the prefect compartment earlier," she whispered. Kurumi may know a lot of things, but when it came to people in the wizarding world she was usually the last to know. No easy access to the Daily Prophet over the summer and whatnot. Not to mention that she had only taken a quick glimpse at the Daily Prophet on the platform - just long enough to see that there would be visitors on the train really.
Only that didn't seem to be why Beezus was confused...maybe. "
Alice," she said, peering through the dark again. "
She must have taken a hard fall when the train stopped so suddenly." Kurumi's ears were still sort of ringing, but she was trying her best not to show it. That and her ankle was sort of hurting. But again, she wasn't about to show that...ever maybe.
She wasn't keen on visiting the Healer ANY time soon.
"
Maybe..." Beezus' guess was as good as hers at this point. Kurumi just hoped that they heard some news soon before people really started getting uneasy.
Oh, hello there Mr. Captain...awfully concerned about Beezus aren't we? Only her eyes didn't stay on the pair...not exactly...they shifted....towards....something...on...his...shoul der....

Oh good. So there was at least one more compartment where people were alright. Kurumi was just about to turn her attention back to everyone when she saw a wand light up in the compartment. Her own fault probably for lighting one earlier. "
Headmistress asked for no magic, please," Kurumi called back softly.

Not noticing the perplexed look on this girl's face, Kurumi instead continued to focus on the pair outside who were....wait...where did they go?! They had just been there a moment ago before she had turned her attention to everyone in the corridor...
"
Portkeys?" Kurumi repeated, chancing a glance back at the younger girl. "
.....I don't like portkeys..."
Couldn't they....walk? Or ride hippogriffs? Or winged horses....or...and Kurumi couldn't believe she was having THIS thought....brooms?

There was also a little girl with cookies. He smiled at her before beginning and took one, and then a bite. Thanks kid.
"Hey kids, Armen Recard Department Head Of Magical Transportation for the Ministry here. Your Headmistress summoned me to help out with the Train problem and well...we can't fix it so we will be travelling by Portkey this evening." He dropped the sack of objects onto the floor infront of him.
"Don't worry, it's perfectly safe and if you are new to it, just watch what everyone else does."
The Ministry official pulled out an old ripped in half pillow, a hula hoop, a street sign, tin can, and a frizbee.
"Everyone gather around one of the items here and make sure you touch it in order to be transported. We are meeting up at the Hogsmeade train station like normal. Don't leave the platform until we all arrive."
And with that the items began to glow
BLUE ready to take off.
OCC: What he said guys! Go ahead and Rp your charrie touching a Portkey object and your charrie can disappear. You will soon see where you should post next. Right on cue the man from the Ministry showed up and....took one of her cookies. He could have at least asked...but Kurumi was willing to give this man a break because he didn't suggest that she go to work in the Ministry's cafeteria.
Kurumi pushed herself up off the ground for the second, or was it third?, time in the past thirty minutes or so and began to move her way towards one of the designated portkeys when she stopped for a moment. Wait... Armen Recard? That name sounded familiar...
His face she knew from seeing him at Hogwarts...but the name, well, that came from somewhere else. Rubbing the back of her neck for a moment as she took a look around to double check on everyone it hit her. "
He was fired from the Ministry of Magic," she gasped softly under her breath, turning her head to look back towards the man. THIS did not sit well with the Gryffindor at all. She knew she had seen the name somewhere before. It had appeared in the Daily Prophet and everything. Kurumi never paid too much attention to it, but it had everything to do with Mr. Ikenna who, until events unfolded, Kurumi had looked up to....so everything came as a shock.
So...someone who was in with a Cult...had been fired...was on a train...that had mysteriously broken down...and was now asking them to grab on to portkeys...
The only thing that gave her any sense of comfort was that he told them where they were going. ASSUMING that that was the truth.
And then she had another thought. Walnut. Her cat. She could NOT leave him here on the train where he would pee on everything out of displeasure for being ignored and left behind. And when Kurumi said everything...she really did mean everything. Walnut could be very...VERY testy.
So, trying to push the thoughts of Mr. Shifty being shifty aside...she approached him. "
Um, sir...what about our pets?"
and your shifty record?
