Made them 100 times better. He searched within his packet, trying to see if he could find one of a similar appearance and try it himself. Instead he drew out a red one and pondered the taste. He couldn't quite put his finger on what the flavour was but it was pleasant and so he didn't think over it for too long.
Older? Yes but only by 5 minutes, still she tended to declare herself as the oldest. "We're twins. But she was the first one to be born, so I guess that means she's older than me" He didn't really complain that often at her bossiness, it was something he had got used to. "Not really. My Uncle usually took me out places and played with me." He really liked his Uncle, he cared for the children like they were his own. He didn't feel the need to compete for his mothers attention when he preferred to let his uncle take him out exploring. He nodded. "She'll be a second year like me but its her first year too." They'd been homeschooled previously by Uncle Eric and their nanny but they didn't really learn that much, messing about was much more fun after all.
He knew it! She really didn't look like the type of girl to want to be friends with a toad, even if it did turn into a Prince if she kissed it. "At least she's furry!" he chuckled. "You should stroke her or hold her, she won't hurt you. Maybe you will then get to like rats?" he asked hopefully, reaching into his pocket ready to take the sleepy Brie out.
Ariadne wished she could've held on longer to that bean, it tasted even better than her Gran's mushroom stew!
'Some of these are excellent. I don't know how the makers can come up with so many flavours. I've written down 247 and I can still find new ones.' Ooops. She had admitted out loud that she had made a list. Hopefully Terry will think nothing of it. He was busy trying another one.
Twins? Ari didn't know any twins. That sounded exciting!
'So is it really like they say, that you can feel when the other one's happy or sad and stuff?' She had read that in some rubbish Muggle book and had thought of Harry and Voldemort at the time, which creeped her out. Were their personalities similar? Did they think alike? From Terry's description, Ariadne was inclined to say no.
They had something in common!
'My uncle Tristan is my favourite family member too. My mum's youngest brother. He always lets me do what I want and he buys me gifts.' What more could you ask for?! Ah, so she couldn't have met Tilly at Beauxbatons after all.
'What's it like, being homeschooled?' Ari's first guess would be to say it's rather boring, because there weren't other children around.
True. Brie WAS furry. '
Something she and my cat have in common.' Interesting. But hold her?! '
You really don't have to wake her up, poor thing.' Ariadne tried to weasel herself out of this, but doubted it would work.
