Dylan decided to go over and see what was up with this guy that looked like he was holding the world on his shoulders and was barely standing up.

"Hi.. couldn't help but notice that you look like you have been banned from eating candy. I guess I just wasn't expecting to see a sad face as yours. Any reason for that? don't tell me you have been banned from eating candy?" cause that would be just horrible! Well maybe Dylan could sneak him some candy.. his parents werent here to check on him so he could have as much candy as he wanted.

He saw the guy was holding his money, Dylan wondered what he was going to get from the trolley. Dylan had yet to buy some candy even though he had been standing here for a while now.
Max was looking at the ground, trying to casually eavesdrop on the nearby conversations of Emmaleigh and Lainey when a nearby voice caught his attention. Banned from eating candy? The seventh year looked up to see a sprightly young fellow peering right at him. "I..." What? "I'm not banned from candy. I'm just, y'know," he shrugged, "waiting my turn. In no hurry."

After a few long moments, Max cleared his throat uncomfortably and added, "Don't worry about me. I just... miss a friend. She graduated last term." His best friend. It's going to be hard, not doing everything with her every day, he added silently. And it was. How was he supposed to enter the common room every day and not hope Ellie would be there? "...S'just weird. First train ride without her in all my years at Hogwarts."

...And then Emmaleigh was talking to him. He cleared his throat again, this time out of nerves, and tried his best to push away the idea that Emmaleigh looked so much like Ellie. That HAIR color. Now that he thought about it, she was probably the person Max saw in Madam Malkins who looked just like Ellie from behind. But he had known better than to think Ellie would be in there by the Hogwarts robes.

"No, uh, don't worry. It's fine. It's a long train ride." Too long, this term. "I can wait."
