Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN
The redheaded captain tried to let her mind drift from Mortimer for a moment so she could hold a conversation with Nessie. She liked the younger captain a lot and the last thing she wanted was the girl thinking that Selina didn't like her by blowing off their conversation. But in all honesty, all Selina wanted to do was just hand out her posters. They would always chit-chat later. Hell, she'd be more than happy to practice with Nessie out on the pitch one day during the term. Girl talk or whatever it was most girl's did with their friends. The only real girlfriend that Selina had was Kurumi and they were different. Kurumi was more like a sister than a friend, so hanging out with Ness one-on-one would be fun. She would have to make a mental note to ask Nessie if she wanted to go flying later.
Trying her hardest not to try and brush Nessie off and get back to the posters, Selina chuckled, "Nah. It was pretty boring actually. I spent virtually the entire summer home." Because a certain Gryffindor lady had decided that August was Lewis' month. Merlin, if Selina had known that if she wanted to see her best friend she had to send in request papers months in advance she would have had her stuff all signed and ready well before the end of last term. Without her best friend around during the summer, she didn't really go anywhere besides Diagon Alley, WHICH is where she lost Mortimer ran away.
Although there was some hope to her Mortimer case. Not only did she have Genevieve on the case to help her find her bat, which she thought was awfully sweet, but she also found help in the most unlikely place- Sierra Griengoth. Months before if someone had told her that Sierra Griengoth could say something nice let alone be helpful she would have told them they were nutters. Now, Selina was starting to wonder if she had misjudged Sierra. Anyone who understood what it was like to have a beater bat had to understand what it would be like in turn to lose said beater bat. However, Selina was not a huge fan of Scarlett; Mortimer was rather partial to the lady bat. Selina was always suspicious that he fancied her.
But she wasn't so impressed with Sierra when she asked her next question. The answer to that was right in front of her face. That was why Selina had put aside the time to make posters. Her hand traveled over to Sierra's poster and pointed out the answer, "Diagon Alley, this summer." The redhead did not like to think about how long her and her bat had been apart. It gave her separation anxiety.
However, she did nod in appreciation to Louisa when the older girl offered to help Selina find her bat. It really warmed her heart to see all of these people step up and keep an eye out for him. Mortimer would have really appreciated all of the assistance, "Thanks Louisa... I appreciate it."
Selina then returned to her box of emergency cookies that sat in front of her. One by one she stuffed them in her mouth and if that was not a distraction enough, Vickers had gone and offered to pick them all up stuff from the trolley. Maybe the troll trolley lady would give Vickers licorice wands and NOT Selina. She wouldn't have been surprised.
Suddenly she was snapped away from food, which was a feat all in its own, when she heard the nickname that sounded so sickeningly like Lewrumi. However, when she looked up to tell Lewis to keep his PDA to a bare minimum she noticed that he was indeed not Lewis. Oh right, she had noticed that before and had gotten distracted by the cookies. This was why cookies were dangerous. They were a temptress.
However, Kurumi was Selina's best friend, so she was not a huge fan of people touching Kurumi unless they were Lewis. Yes, as much as she had been against their union in the beginning, Lewis had grown on Selina. He was a good chap. And he cared for her best friend a lot, which was brownie points. Speaking of brownies... NO NO DO NOT GET DISTRACTED!
So as Vickers got up to drag the pair of them out of the compartment via the really pretty redhead's request, Selina made sure to flick the Lewis faker upside the head. Then she sent him a look that let him know in her own special way that she was going to keep an eye on him. What a weirdo... and people said Selina had problems.
