And no Jinx. She raised her eyes from the ground, looking back at Kurumi, who just started saying something. ‘That’s a good idea…’, she started saying and, before even managing to take the cookie from the Gryffindor Prefect, she spotted something.
Hmmm.
What was it?
Gwen narrowed her eyes suspiciously, looking at a black spot near the door of a compartment, coming closer and closer to the place where they were standing. Failing to see Walnut’s reaction, the Ravenclaw looked intensely at the black furball who was making his way along the corridor. ‘Jinx!’, the girl beamed. ‘Maybe the cookies worked…’ After all, they had a quite powerful smell. And Jinx was one of those pets who always acted like FOOD DETECTORS. Yes. The tuna smell may have braught him back. Since Jinx finally got back, Gwen didn’t answer Kurumi’s question about what he looked like. ‘Thanks’, she told the Gryffinodr, because it was probably because of her cookies that the cat was back.
As soon as she took Jinx in her arms, the black cat looked suspiciously at Walnut. ‘Meyow’, Jinx made his presence noticed. Gwen gave the cat a small pat on the head before drawing her attention back at Kurumi. ‘Looking forward to getting back to Hogwarts?’, she asked the seventh year and started looking out the window. She was eagerly waiting to get back. Even though it was going to be different… with the Headmaster, some of the Professors and the people who graduated last year who weren’t returning. Sigh.
Hopefully it ended up being a good idea. Kurumi had sort of become a 'when in doubt use cookies' sort of person...and that hadn't really worked too well on the platform when the first years had been climbing the Hogwarts Express to get their pets. Then again, they hadn't even given it a try because the pair obviously had issues with listening to anyone older than themselves. Merlin were they in for a rude awakening once they got to Hogwarts....
Making sure that Walnut was situated safely on her shoulder, Kurumi moved in the opposite direction of Gwen for a step or two and was just about to snap off a piece of cookie for Walnut while she continued her search when she heard Gwen speak again. "
Oh good! I'm glad he decided to come back to you." Instead of found him, cause, well, it was clear Jinx was that sort of cat.
He could smell the cookie...see the cookie...tast---well, no, he couldn't do that yet because it was just out of reach but it would be his soon...
Or not.
Tail swishing even MORE in agitation, Walnut's ears went down and he may or may not have let out a low growl when his Mistress stopped with her cookie offering and began to move towards the OTHER superior being. Yeah, keep that meow to yourself fuzzface.
Smiling, Kurumi reached out and gave Jinx a quick pat on the head, which displeased Walnut a biiiiiit more, and then met Gwen's gaze. "
I'm....actually not too sure how I feel about this term," Kurumi said, her voice laced with so many emotions that it was hard to sort out any one of them. "
I still can't believe that this is my last train ride to Hogwarts....it's been my home for so long. Hard to imagine next year not going back."
Last....this term was going to be filled with a lot of those. Lasts.
"
B-B-But how about you? You looking forward to it?"
