He tapped the toe of his shoe on the table lightly and watched for her second try. He got another glance, this time followed by a casual sticking-out-of-the-tongue. Apparently, today Caedwyn Howard was channeling her inner toddler. Her daughter would be so proud.
"Listen up... hairy thing," Cade held up the head and gave it a firm look, although she couldn't see anything but long, stringy hair. Thank goodness. "I'm going to throw you, and you're going to knock down the pins. Don't embarrass me in front of Rafa." She shook the head once before rolling it down the alley, this time an actual ROLL and not a fling.
"I did better when I wasn't aiming," Cade took her seat beside Rafa on the bench and elbowed him lightly. "Show me how it's done, sir."
