As far as it went, he was a great father to Beverly and he's tried to be one to the boy, but he's been refused. Either way, he was still great and Ciara had no idea of what was coming next. If she thought he'd leave that little girl of her's alone, she was dead wrong. Ciara was now part of his little game.

Occlumency. Right. Well, this ruined part of his plans. It didn't matter, Phabian knew he's lost his son's trust, but by the way the boy held himself at this moment, he knew he could still reach him out. Besides, Kennedy cared a lot for his sister and Phabian could use this to his advantage.

He turned to his brother and just glared at him. Hector should know by now that he lost his head whenever danger was near his daughter. "Mind your own business and make sure everyone's in place." Because now all that was on his mind was keeping his daughter safe and since he was the obvious target of Ciara's friends then that made Beverly part of it too.

Shifting his gaze to Kennedy, his expression changed to something close to pride. "Son, we need to talk." Not a question, not a request, but an order.

Kennedy raised an eyebrow at Ciara, but then she left. He was of age so he technically didn't run away from home, he just left. Besides, his father's manor was not his home, so Ciara was wrong...and annoying and infuriating and...

He had to take a deep breath as his anger rose. It's been happening a lot lately and it was all because of the idiot of parents they had...with the exception of Audric and his mom.

Occlumency?

Yeah. He needed to learn that, but unfortunately they didn't teach it at Hogwarts, but he'd ask his godfather. If his father knew it, it was most likely Xavier would to. He looked up at his father and just sort of stared at him. Did he have a choice? Probably not. "No. Whatever you have to say you can say it now." And now he was the one not giving his father a choice. It was about time he put his foot down.

Merlin, his family was so messed up.

Oh, the family drama. Hector leant against a pillar, twirling his wand in his fingers. This is why he stayed away from family. Nothing useful ever came from it...well, maybe a duel or two.

Hector raised an eyebrow at Kryspin. "Excuse you, but what my brother has done has nothing to do with me or the family, get your facts straight." Plus, everyone in the family knew Phabian wasn't the type to be tampered with. Only stupid people did that. Obviously, his niece's fiance's mother was one.

He stood where he was and caught sight of Tenglara and Maryad as well as a few more. Boy, the idea of a duel excited Hector a bit too much his fingers were itching with energy.

Phabian narrowed his eyes at his son. How dare he just disobey him like that?! His attention was quickly drawn away by Quinn. Couldn't he keep his damn mouth shut. "I know what happened and it's unfortunate my niece ended up hurt and, of course, I know it was directed at my son," he hissed. "Let me assure you Veepeer is six feet under and has paid for what he did." Phabian glanced at Yvonne and quickly looked away. He had been furious when he heard the curse had gotten her, but he had wasted no time in getting rid of Veepeer.

"It should have been YOU that got hurt, not my family," he spat, his voice colder than ice and pure hatred leaking from it.

Yvonne's hands curled into fists, her wand arm trembling in anger as she glared at Phabian. "Shut up! If he'd gotten hurt then you would've been begging Merlin to spare you!" She was ready. Ready to hex him and even blast him, but several things stopped her: she was an Auror and had to demonstrate better examples of restraint, there were children everywhere and Beverly was in his arms. Crud.

Everything was going in, yes. Everything was registering. But Krys was almost entirely unable to retort. He was so angry. So very, very angry. Though the comment about his mother made him snigger. Honestly, Krys had thought that the man knew her. But then...

It should have been YOU that got hurt...

He ignored Yvonne's comment... "I was hurt." he hissed dangerously, urgh why wouldn't the man put the kid down and play fair? ... Why did he expect him to play fair..? Criminals never did. "But you wouldn't understand something like that, would you? To feel that sort of pain you have to have a heart." And Phabian clearly didn't. "If it was all so accidental, maybe you should put more planning into things. You are such an idiot to put your family in danger like that, Wayne." Let alone Kryspin's family. Though that was a whole other matter.

"You seriously underestimated us, and believe me, one more little mistake and there will be no trouble getting evidence against you. Though whether I'll want to hand you over to the Aurors is another matter entirely. You are the absolute epitome of pure-" But then his father interrupted. Yes, he knew his father would be here. Krys was seething, visibly angry in every way. His eyes burning with hatred... which was something he had never felt in such strength before.

Today, Audric did not look like himself. His hair was black, his stature slightly shorter and a tiny bit hunched, not a hint of green to be seen around his person. He may as well have been wearing a perception filter, he blended in so easily. And today he had come to Kings Cross with his brothers, who were also in disguise. Because his brothers had children. And Seraphinus' daughter Ignata, though she was eighteen and homeschooled, was about the right height to look like a seventh year. He was stood not so far off, observing the happenings. Even he wouldn't step in when his wife had that look in her eyes... especially right now.

"Rowan, find my daughter." he said in Irish. Everything about his posture seemed normal for someone seeing off a relative but it was the tone of his voice that gave him away. Anyone but his brother wouldn't have noticed it, would have brushed it off as a regional twang, but Rowan knew Audric almost as well as he knew himself. The man disappeared down the platform and Audric turned to his other brother. "Seph, keep an eye on them, and keep Nat out of trouble." He ignored the glares from his niece and glanced back over to his son as Seraphinus moved her away.

Oh Merlin he was getting angry, Audric butted in. "Kryspin, remember your training. You need to be calm. Keep a level head." he said in Irish, walking over to the group and silently removing the disguise. Then he turned to Wayne. "You endangered my children." He finally reverted to English and stared at the man. He wasn't glaring, just staring. He was an expert at hiding emotions. And other things. "And however much I would like to kill you right now, it would be foolish for this to go any further in such a public area." He was deliberately ignoring Hector - he'd brought more back up than just his brothers.

Rowan nodded at his older brother and disappeared into the crowd, something he'd always been very good at, even with his stupidly red hair. The Quinn boys had all learnt to disguise that pretty quickly though, it kept them out of trouble. He spotted his nieces trunk and coat and leaned against the handle of the trolley nonchalantly, as his eyes searched for her.

And there she was, leaning against a pillar, breathing heavily and close to tears. And nobody had noticed her... Someone had obviously put some sort of charm on her to redirect attention away... but it was apparently wearing off. He slowly pushed the trolley over towards her, in such a matter-of-fact manner than he could be any dad looking for a child. When he reached her he rested the trolley on next to her and flicked his wand to remove his disguise. "Come here, Squirrel." he said, holding his arms out for the girl to come to her. "It's okay, it's okay, you're safe now."

Aurora's hands were pressed hard onto the pillar, keeping herself held up and hidden. Oh what on earth was going on? She was too scared to look around now - what if everything started going wrong? Her breathing was heavy and catching but nobody seemed to be noticing... maybe this was Kryspin's doing too.

And then a total stranger was pushing her trolley towards her... she frowned in confusion as he parked it next to her but than. "Ro!" she exclaimed in a whisper, making sure she stayed hidden as she let him hug her. "Is daddy here?" A little wave of relief washed over her as her uncle nodded. Oh thank Merlin... Surely her daddy could fix this? He could fix everything...

Seraphinus nodded as his brother spoke and put his hand on his daughter's arm, steering her away from the action - which actually just looked like a heated family argument right now - to lean against a pillar. From here he could just about see both of his brothers. He cast a quick concealing charm at Rowan and Aurora, and put an arm around Ignata, the conversation looked like any other father-daughter interchange. "Honey, if something goes wrong you are to apparate home immediately. Inform your mother and make sure she sends the rest of Fletcher's team, okay?" Ignata nodded once and Seraphinus was satisfied. Now to wait.
