Was... he... scared... His first response would have been a simple 'no'. But that would be lying, right? And he wasn't one to lie. So he decided to go for a simple answer instead. "Erm... I... I was a just a bit surprised..." he said, grinning at the girl. He had the funny feeling that Bliss might not believe him...

The third year pulled her up a bit and held on tightly. "You're pretty light, you know," he said. And now... he kind of wished he hadn't said that. He had to be cool, right? And being cool meant saying something cool... which that wasn't. But it was a compliment... right? Right. Yeah.

And there was Bliss's face! Alec grinned back at the girl's face ~~which was REALLY close to his~~. "That's... erm... that's awesome!" So their faces were close together. Big deal. This happened a lot when you gave a piggyback to someone, right? Right. "Oh, I'm great! It's good to see you again!" GRIN.
