"True heroism is remarkably sober and very undramatic." To quote the famous professional tennis player. Kurumi really didn't need to go into more details about how dramatic this entire thing had been, right?
Poor creatures....it had probably been the most stressful way to start a journey to Hogwarts.
Turning around now and slightly shaking her head in Gideon's direction, Kurumi just now noticed that he was with someone else. A transfer student maybe? She looked to be about the same age as Kurumi, but she knew now that appearances could be deceiving.
For all Kurumi knew this blonde girl could be a time sucker too.
"Archer is an owl," Kurumi said with a heavy sigh. An owl that was back in his cage now, right? RIGHT?! As for the bat... "She tried summoning it when she was back at home, but without knowing the proper location and distance, sort of makes performing said charm worthless." Or Selina had had enchantments placed on her precious Beater's bat so that no one could steal it from her using magic...
That actually wouldn't surprise her at all. True heroism is WHAT? Genevieve gawked at this new girl for a long moment before shaking her head to clear out her ears. Girlfriend said WHAT again?
"So we were all running around like crazy snarfles because the predatory bird was in danger of being eaten by creatures that couldn't follow it if it flew away?" See... that was one of those 'not really a drama' type things that just confused the heck out of her. Was it worth the excitement?
Still, she hated that the wannabe heroes were left feeling like doing the right thing was a bad choice. She leaned in to the flyer-hander-outerer and gave a casual wink. "True heroism is not getting caught, kid." Quote:

All of them seemed to just have the inability to watch what they were saying. They didn't seem to realize that climbing on top of trains was an extremely dangerous ordeal. The redhead had never seen first year road kill, but climbing aboard the top of a train was the quickest way to get to that end.
Then, when Kurumi said that they all would be punished, Selina visibly smirked. Heh. And then their punishment made Selina smirk even more. Their silly little adventure had distracted her from her mission to hand out her flyers and now they were going to help make the wrongs right. It would save her a little time if she had firsties doing all of her dirty work.
But before she could hand over the flyers to all of the firsties another voice interrupted her. Looking up she saw her boyfriend approaching AND a brand new face. She supposed this was not the best way to meet someone. Selina must have looked half insane with flyers up to her nose as she yelled at first years to get off the bloody train. It was not that Selina was insane, she was just eclectic.
So she nodded at her boyfriend and said, "First years were scalling the train. Chasing after their pets or something stupid like that. So we had to get them down. And now I'm handing out flyers for Mortimer," then she turned to looked at the new face, "Hello there. I'm Selina.". She reached down and handed the girl a flyer, "By the way, have you seen him?" Finding her bat was of the upmost importance.
Then the rude firsties demanded their flyers. Snapping her head around she eyed the first year and said, "I've never hit a kid before, but there is a first time for everything.". She wasn't serious, but this kid was REALLY getting on her nerves. Who did they think they were being so rude?
So she just handed them all some flyers and waved them off. "There you go then, okay?" Go hand them out my minions. Find him! Mortimer needed his Mommy.
Once that was all settled away she looked at Kurumi and said, "Thanks Rumi. I've just been worried sick." "Genevieve," she accepted the flyer, letting her eyes flicker briefly to the words. A bat named Mortimer? They were all crazy. Perhaps something in the water, or maybe the fumes from the train... or the Scottish winters! That was enough to drive people straight to madness, wasn't it?
"Erm... it looks like you lost the bat on Diagon Alley, which is quite a distance from here and would have an entirely different pool of suspects." Then again... students shopping on Diagon Alley, students shopping here. Genevieve could play ball with Crazy. No big deal. "Ahem. Does your bat have any distinguishing characteristics? Is there any motive to speak of?"
