That guy was a jerk. She still couldn't believe she'd crushed on a guy like that. Dated Reid? HUH. "It must have been hard to watch the girl you crush on date your best friend." If Reid knew about Chace's crush, he shouldn't have dated her at all. Best friends didn't do that to each other.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'd love to know more about them but we can talk about that whenever you want to." Heh. She knew what he meant. Talking about family always made her feel a little.. moody. And the same applied for him too especially since he seemed to have family issues as well. She smiled and gave his hand a light squeeze.
Abby couldn't help but smile again when she noticed the smile on his face. "You know I can't resist a smile like that." Negative thing? Easy for him to say since he never blushed. She sighed and shrugged. "I don't know why but I just.. I don't like it. It's not like it's a bad thing but it just makes me feel uncomfortable. But, I'll try not to get so upset about it though."
Woah. That sounded like a hot mess. Any time you cheated on your boyfriend or girlfriend with a mutual friend things never turned out well. Ever. At leas that had been the case in Chace's experiences, but typically it was easy to see what that outcome was so common. How do you forgive someone for something like that? If it ever happened to him, Chace doubted that he could forgive.
"I just don't get why people cheat. Like if you're no longer interested in the person, then have the decency and respect to break up with them first. And in my opinion, once a cheater always a cheater." At the comment about Reid dating his first crush Chace gave a shrug of the shoulder.
"I wasn't into her that way at all anymore by the time they started dating. And Reid asked me first. Plus it was right around the time I was getting interested in my first girlfriend so it was okay."
Chace nodded, a slightly pained expression on his face as he did so.
"I don't usually like to talk about them, but maybe it would be good for me to. Not here obviously, but later in a more private venue." But this was just Chace's way though. It was simpler and easier to just keep complicated matters to himself rather than deal with the stress and drama of sharing. Because then it usually got other people upset and involved, and if you disagreed with them about how to handle things it just led to arguments. Yeah. Definitely better to keep things to himself. But Abby seemed to be a good listener and didn't make a point of shoving decisions down his throat so maybe it would be a good thing. Plus Abby seemed to see things the same way that he did, so that made her a good person to talk to, right?
Chace smiled even more.
"Well I'm glad...especially if it means more kisses are coming my direction." He nodded understandingly. He knew that it wasn't so much the act itself of blushing but the feeling associated with it that made it slightly unpleasant. No one liked to be embarrassed. Chace certainly didn't which is why he avoided the feeling at all costs. Not caring always helped with that...
"I understand. And I don't want to keep doing something that makes you feel uncomfortable," Chace said, giving Abby's hand a squeeze.
"I'll just have to find another way to get that blush on your face without the feeling of embarrassment slash uncomfortableness," Chace said with a sideways grin.
