If it were up to Garrett, he'd throw his arms wide and run at the wall with a gleeful yell. It was not, however, up to Garrett, and instead he found himself wandering closer under the watchful eyes of his parents. His father was looking around the train station, most likely for the police or someone else who would find it odd that Mr. Kendrick was letting his son walk into a wall. As for his mother, she was staring at him with wide eyes, as if she were afraid a single blink would cause him to vanish.
"I'm pretty sure you're allowed to walk through and see me off, Mum," he'd attempted to reassure her earlier, but she seemed perfectly happy to stay on the Muggle side of the wall and let the bricks eat him. Couldn't say he blamed her on that one.
When he finally reached the wall, he poked at it with his toe. It seemed solid enough...
With a last wave to his parents, and still wishing he could have run at it full tilt, Garrett pushed through the wall and on to Platform 9 3/4.
