Chace couldn't help but hide the sign of disgust and confusion on his face as Abby described her lame and seriously pathetic cousin. "Has anyone tried telling that she leads the life of a lump on a log?" Chace asked. Honestly, he could understand how some people could be content by themselves, but seriously. No one could be that content. He wasn't even talking about her lack of a romantic situation. Plenty of attractive girls out there were single. Like Abby for example, until he had snagged her of course. But still. There was really no excuse for it. "Doesn't she feel gross? I mean forget about the lack of a relationship, the lack of a job is just pathetic. Where's her purpose in life?" Oh wait. She didn't have one. Since she was twenty five, bumming off her sister entirely, and socially lifeless.
Chace laughed as Abby giggled at his mock mean face. "I'm really not very good at faking a mean face. It's much better when I'm actually angry, I assure you," Chace said, smiling as Abby kissed his cheek.
"You strike me as someone who doesn't have a problem telling a creepy guy to shove off, but as your boyfriend I do feel it's my responsibility to protect you...even if you can protect yourself." Chace took a hold of Abby's other hand when she brought up the whole other girls issue. "You have nothing to worry about. I highly doubt there is any girl at this school, no matter how good looking, that can make me feel the way you do." Chace leaned forward and planted another kiss on her lips.
Abby stared as he paused to think. REALLY? She was a good kisser and he knew it. Pretending to think about it was just mean. Pout.
"Chace, I already know I'm a good kisser but I'm glad you agree with me." "She's horrible. Simply horrible. She just criticizes me all the time.. I mean, shouldn't she be focusing on herself rather than find fault with others?" Abby sighed, letting her fingers run through her hair. Not that she ever let those criticisms bother her. She was used to people telling her what to do and she never did them but still. It was rather annoying to listen to her go on and on about she should be living her life when her life was so lame. What was her purpose in life?
"Basically, not doing anything." Yeah, she never did any work around the house either.
"She went to Hogwarts too but after that.. well, she's pretty much wasting her life. I hate her honestly." Abby hated a lot of people and Jane was definitely one of them.
Abby rolled her eyes.
"Chace, you really don't have to protect me. I'm not a little girl. I'm perfectly capable of looking after myself." At least, she thought she was. For some reason, she never felt comfortable with guys protecting her. That only made her feel vulnerable and Abby didn't like that feeling. Not at all. And.. she had nothing to worry about. Abby kissed him for a little while before she finally pulled away.
"I know I'm the best." Heh. He was lucky to be with her... Oh, yeah. She was lucky to be with too. Obviously.
