Kendall had just about finished what was in her cup while she continued wandering even further from where her brother was waiting by the train itself. She wasn't worried about missing it, as she knew something would clue her in that it was time to board. Or someone, since she was still hoping she'd find people to talk to before it was time to go. Jeremiah didn't count, since she had had all summer to talk to him. And Accio didn't count either, although the cat had started to wiggle a little in her grip as the caffeine started making her even more hyper than usual. It wasn't quite at a danger zone yet, especially as she had a high tolerance for chocolate, but she was definitely a bit more excitable than usual. And she had nowhere to let that out, unless she re-enacted her performance in Diagon Alley. That wouldn't be half as fun without the fountain, though, or Damon's brother acting crazy with her. Besides, she didn't have a specific song stuck in her head this time, so it wouldn't be as easy to do anything like that.
Next thing she knew, though, she'd heard a familiar voice and dropped Accio with a giggle. "I wasn't hiding," she pointed out. "Or staying in one spot. Look at what Jeremiah got me," she added, showing him her now-empty cup. "It was yummy, but just chocolate's still better." She just felt like there needed to be an observation regarding that topic. Of course, it wasn't like there had been an official experiment going with the chocolate coffee. Just giving in to her curiosity after their conversation in Diagon Alley, and now she had other things to be curious about. "Why's Orion squawking like someone's pulling feathers?," she asked, "And didja bring it?" The truffles, of course, and the chocolate owls. It didn't look like he had the big owl, unless it was in his trunk, but then that wasn't something for the train. The other stuff was, and she was going to poke him if he'd forgotten.
Noticing the cup that Kendall had showed him, Patrick couldn't help but chuckle since he hadn't thought that she would actually investigate the chocolate coffee that he mentioned earlier in the summer; though he knew that meant that she had to already be on a bit of a sugar rush because of it which was only going to make the experiment even more amusing. "How did I not find you earlier then? Anyway not important, I have some of the actual coffee flavoured chocolate in my bag with the rest of the stuff." There was never such a thing as bringing too much chocolate anywhere considering he wouldn't have been able to get it until Hogsmeade trips happened during the term which he was going to take full advantage of. The sound of Orion's squawks had caused him to frown since obviously something had been up with the owl and since she had pointed it out, he paid full attention since it was a matter of trying to figure out what was wrong. "I don't know, maybe he's not used to all the people. Sorta overwhelmed by all of this." It had only been the explanation that he could have come up with considering he hadn't known what had been going on with the owl, perhaps he would have had to speak with the CoMC professor if there was still this issue going on throughout the time between the train and arriving at the school.
"Course I did. I said I would, so I packed the truffles up last night and set them in the bag." They were going to get this little experiment out of the way now so that he didn't have to be curious of whether or not it had actually worked, he opened his messenger bag and showed her exactly how much chocolate he was carrying before taking out the box of truffles as well as several smaller boxes which contained the owls and brooms that were promised to her. "The rest is being kept for later.. now, I think we should get into these truffles before they're just going to be wasted." He grinned again after he spoke then opened the box and took a couple of the truffles out, this really was going to be fun.
