Still, they were here now, and what a beaaaaaaaaautiful party it was shaping up to be. Ivy clung to her boss' Dell's arm with her right hand and kept a firm hold on Franny's leash with the other. "Wowwwww, look at those tapestries!" the redhead breathed as they were showed into the party room. Her nose crinkled up as she smiled and wiggled a few fingers to the doormen, then went back to craning her neck up up up toward the giant, awesome woven decorations.
"They must be wider than I am tall!!!!!" Giggle! Brynn was still hungry, although she hadn't had the nod from Mr. Beverley to eat yet. Not that he'd mind, right? But she didn't want to be first. She would be... third. That was perfect pacing. Not too eager, but then she could make sure the little bacon-wrapped thingamabobbers weren't gone before she made it to the tables.
She spotted Ivy come in... with a dog and a handsome Bott man and no Rhys in sight. Really? Her brother was stupid, clearly, if he let that girl get away. He wasn't going to find anyone nearly as good living out in the middle of nowhere like he did. But Ivy had traded up, so...
She would catch up with Ivy later... it was nice to see a familiar face, but she didn't want to intrude on her super fancy romantic book-themed date. Although who brought a date to a book launch? You had to really love someone to come to a thing like this. Quote:

Holding hands with her current date seemed awkward. So Imogine walked closley beside him. "Why did they have to bring in Mad Morgan?" Imogine began, she looked up to Morgan as an accomplished witch but the band gave her a headache. "Im just a little mad that they are here. Vampire Beat should have come in, or what about Smash and the pumpkin brothers!" David was thrilled to be invited by Imogine to this meraculous event. He fiddled with his glasses, hoping he looked smart, and tried to think of a reply. "Uh I don't know, because..." was all that came out before Imogine changed the subject."Vampire Beat, ya, that would be...that would be great" he agreed. "They all seem great". He wasn't quite watching whare he was going so he slipped slightly on an extra shiny wet patch. "Eep" he squeeked nerdily. She'd best go greet the guests. That was her job, right? Brynn scurried across the floor to some of the early arrivals. "Careful!" She put out a hand to right the man before he fell, giving the wet spot on the floor a hard look. Someone was going to die or something.
"Welcome! Do you like the band? Aren't they smashing? I didn't know I even liked mandolins, but I like Morgan. Feel free to dance and stuff. Let me know if you need anything, okay?" Quote:

Hmph..someone and their date or whatever was on her ignore for the rest of the event list. Not even worth a mention.
Her mood had absolutely headed down south now but that was okay because Layla had a mean poker face. She made a beeline to Willow but gave her the once over before she got too close.Well the woman looked appropriate enough...no ugly shoes...okay it was safe. She stopped next to her and offered a smile.
"You look lovely." Her attention would be here for the rest of the night, with her employee and the winner and whoever else was lucky enough to be interviewed...not at anyone else. Oh, oh, oh GOOD. The journalists had arrived! Brynn waved excitedly at them from across the room and pantomimed taking lots of pictures. As in... did they have a photographer? Where was the camera? Were they going to take pictures? Could they not do it while she was eating? And maybe from the left side, because she just looked BETTER on that side. Quote:

Maybe he was awkward enough for both of them. "If your hungry, I'll go over to the buffet with you," she offered, filling the silence. Elinor had no appetite whatsoever. She was nervous enough to vomit, she feared, even though the food DID smell delicious. She looked about for a familliar face, but couldn't pick one out. Was this how Nigel felt ALL THE TIME? The thought was awful. She heard the arrival of another couple, and Brynn greeted them with a smile. See that, Mr. B? Best assistant EVER. Perhaps a raise was in her future?
That would be awesome.
"The food looks wonderful. And it's still warm and I think they JUST made it, so it's fresh. You guys definitely should try out the food and let me know what you recommend. There are these little baby sandwiches... all different kinds." And she sincerely hoped everything didn't get eaten before she could get around to eating. Quote:

Norma as a selfless person and took care of her own, even during special events such as this that were meant for her and the other writers. She didn’t want Colton to die alone. And she wouldn’t complain if he and his special lady had a child or two. She could never have too many great-grandchildren!
The grin sort of faded when he asked if the Daily Prophet was going to be there. Norma was pretty certain that they would be. But did that really matter? “Colton, dearie, don’t worry about them,” she told him, giving her tall, handsome grandson a little bump with her old lady hips. That was her way of telling him to relax and just have some fun. She didn’t want him thinking about work or anything of the sort. “How about we find ourselves a seat? Or go mingle with the others?” Oooo. That just HAD to be the winning contributor. She even had her date carrying her cookie tin. Which... Merlin. Cougar alert. That cool old lady had a really handsome boyfriend. Scandalous. What did her cute little grandkids from the story think about Granny dating a Hunk? HMMM?
Awkward.
She twitched a bit, because she should definitely definitely go and greet the woman, or alert Mr. B, or do SOMETHING...
And then they were heading toward Ivy and her Bott date. Merlin, maybe she should become a redhead, because they definitely got ALL the attention. Brynn stuck out her tongue at the back of Ivy's head before turning back to the other guests.
