Norma as a selfless person and took care of her own, even during special events such as this that we meant for her and the other writers. She didn’t want Colton to die alone. And she wouldn’t complain if he and his special lady had a child or two. She could ever have too many great-grandchildren!
The grin sort of faded when he asked if the Daily Prophet was going to be there. Norma was pretty certain that they would be. But did that really matter? “Colton, dearie, don’t worry about them,” she told him, giving her tall, handsome grandson a little bump with her old lady hips. That was her way of telling him to relax and just have some fun. She didn’t want him thinking about work or anything of the sort. “How about we find ourselves a seat? Or go mingle with the others?” "Don't worry about them? Nana they're the Daily Prophet and you won this writing competition. We could be on the front page tomorrow!" Colton said to her excitedly, being pushed away only slightly by her hip bump. Assuming no one important died or there wasn't another Ministry takeover. Colton's excitment for notoriety was lessened somewhat however by his grandmother's words and he began to look around at the other guests.
There were a few there already, an older looking man standing there as if he owned the place, an eager man beside him, a pretty attractive redhead with a god (seriously, here?!), and a rather well dressed and distinguished looking guy on her arm. "Um, how about we go talk to them, Nana. They look," Important "nice. Unless of course you want to find a seat." he hoped she didn't, these people seemed well-off something Colton had been working towards for the past few years in the banking business. |
