Norma Smith had gone all out for this fancy shindig. She was having a really hard time not gawking at the place. The Sword in the Stone was breathtaking … and looked rather expensive. But the later didn’t matter to her. Not tonight, at least. Everyone was here to see her, the writer who had won the souls of those behind the making of Plimpy Soup. And maybe she would win their stomachs too. Yes, Norma brought her famous cookies with her, in spite of the fact that food would be served for them. Hopefully there were still enough left for everyone. She had let Colton bring them in.

“Oh, how sweet of you,” she said to the footmen with a chuckle when they opened the door. She was about to ask them if they would like a cookie, but Colton was already leading her further inside the hotel. When they walked into the party room, she couldn’t help but notice all of the pretty women that were there. Perfect. Maybe she would find Colton a lady friend. A strapping young man like him should have had one of those by now. Then Norma looked up at him with one of those grins. “What do you think, darling?”
