It wasn't hard for Gideon to see his comment had effected her, the freezing in place was only the first sign. He did his best not to laugh at her smirk but there was certainly a bemused smile upon his own face in reaction. "Oh really?" he questioned with raised eyebrow. "Ye can't hide or lie to me," he added before finally giving into his laughter. The seriousness of his tone had been crumbling and he couldn't hold it any longer.
He watched her actions and smiled as she added her arms around his neck and spoke quietly in his ear. Gideon responded by picking her up around the waist and spinning her around once before carrying her into the foyer and setting her back down on her feet. He didn't want her to freak out like she had at school about being up for too long. "Aye, its nice to see ye too," he remarked smiling down at her as they remained close. The seventh year could feel her grasp moving around behind him and beneath his hair and couldn't help but chuckle at the feeling.
