See, that's the reaction he was expecting from his best mate that's why Oliver had chosen this moment to tell him. They were in public and it was a happy occasion.
Well okay, William was being all mopey so maybe now hadn't been the best time but they were still in public so surely his friend wouldn't do anything to him. Giving Willy, his best charming smile, Olly spoke in a low voice.
"Your sister's kinda of grown on me over the months and well...we've been kinda dating." Secretly. That had been his idea because he hadn't known whether it was going to work between them but it had been almost a year now and things were going well. So he figured it was time to let his mate know.
Which he had now done. So maybe he should change the subject. And oh look there was the perfect distraction walking up to the staff table.

Once again, Waylon was attending his last end of term feast. The only thing different about this time and last time, though, was that this time he wasn't going to be signing his name in that seventh year book thing. Maybe he could get to it on the way out. Deciding that that sounded like a good idea, and deciding that he would ask what he missed later as well, since it seemed like he had missed a lot. Why was no one eating!?, he made his way up to the staff table, and plopped himself down in his seat next to Cece.
He gave everyone a smile and a wave before leaning in closer to Cece. "Is the food bad?" Could be why she looked so upset.
Waylon had finally decided to make his appearance. What had he been doing all this time? Probably forgot what day it was.
"Yo Murdoch! Nice of you to make an appearance mate. William here needs some cheering up." Yes Waylon, we need you to keep Willy busy so that he wouldn't hex his best friend.
