Ameliah just shrugged again. "Same old, same old... Excited for summer break, I'm meeting up with some old friends for most of it." Almost as if on cue, she felt a burning in her pocket. She pulled out a sheet of parchment (that was black around the edges), read what was on it, and quickly scribbled a few words on it before stuffing it back into her pocket.
