So she had sat beside Kurumi the entire period watching as Lafay indifferently taught the class about the final potion they would be brewing. Honestly, Selina was confused... anyone else? No? Okay, just her.
Then she said that they could begin to brew the potion.
Selina wanted to hurl. Potions always made her so nervous. SO with a pale face, she turned to Kurumi and she stuttered, "Look... I-I know you said that you didn't want to work together... b-but I d-don't know if I can do this alone. At least without throwing up... or passing out." And that was the truth.
It was going to make Selina pass out... even perhaps WITH her best friend's help.
Kurumi wanted to make a comment about Selina not adding anything outside of the listed ingredients when she saw the color of her best friend's face, but decided against saying anything and instead nodded her head. "
I didn't say I didn't want to work with you," Kurumi corrected as she wiggled her finger in the air back and forth. "
I just said that I wasn't going to test your potion." See, there was a big difference. "
So, together it is...and just to be safe...let's use my cauldron, okay?"
Just because Selina really was not looking too good right now.
Eyes back on her cauldron, Kurumi pulled some of the ingredients forward and handed the Ailhotsy and Lovage leaves to Selina. "
You should crush those into almost a fine powder with a mortar and pestle," Kurumi instructed. Crushing things was something Selina was good at, you know, since she had that Beater's bat and all.
Kurumi then grabbed the asphodel root and a wood grater. Pointing her wand at one end of the root, Kurumi cast Diffindo on the tip to remove the end and then quickly banished the small fragment before she began to
grate the root down into a paste...which was going to take a little while. Putting as much elbow grease into it as she could, Kurumi continued to make small circles over the wood with the root.
"
Se-li-na," Kurumi panted as she came close to finishing. "
Do-you-want-me-to-deal-with-the-mushrooms-and-you-mix-these?" Which would mean that if Selina wanted to deal with the mushrooms that she would have to administer Glacius to them to make sure they didn't explode.
Selina knew that, right?
