She'd have to try to convince the Ministry to list him as an approved supplier/expert. Sometime. For now, she was too focused on the behavior of the man in front of her to linger on the thought.
Nigel didn't seem to want to let go. She took that as a good sign. That wasn't really wierd. Perhaps, in the few hours between visits, he had done some thinking? Yes, that had to be the reasoning behind his elated mood. He had been thinking about their relationship and how he felt about her. That had to be it.
'Oh soooo much better'? 'My love'?
That was wierd. That sent up little red flags that something was going on here. Although the woman kept smiling, entertained and flattered by his behavior, her mind started working away at what had happened. "It was... a day... Yes, I suppose it was a good day. After all, I got to see you. Twice!" Her face reddened again slightly. The way he was looking at her. It made her feel all tingly, feeding into her childish notions of love. "Nigel? What is it?" Her mind was still puzzling away at what might be the cause of his strange behavior. She glanced at his tea. It looked like regular tea to her. Her eyes briefly darted over him, trying to find something out of place...
Hm... She'd figure it out. Nigel's mind wasn't even on the potions, or the messes he had cleaned up because of his work. Which in and of itself should have been a clue that something was wrong, very wrong. His focus was solely on the woman in the room with him. His eyes staring into Elinor's as he listened to her speak. "Good to hear then," he replied with a chuckle finally letting her go but still remaining close. "Wouldn't want my dearest Elinor to have a bad day." Nigel also wasn't about to let her out of his sight at the moment. Nope, nope, nope. She was off work, and so technically he could be too so why not spend the time together. Him and his love, hanging out during their free time, just like all the other couples.
Well no...not like other couples. Because they were speeecial. "I love the way you say my name..." he got out with a smile as she questioned him. "Nigel..." he repeated to himself before reacting to her second inquiry. "What is what?" Nigel asked, tilting his head as he looked at Elinor, an expression of loss and confusion now upon his paling face.
