She must think I don't know who won, he thought to himself just before flipping her to the ground.
He saw the look of shock on her face and then she looked up at him and burst into laughter. "Yes....I am nuts. I think though if I'm going to be nuts, I'd like to be a brazil nut. It's really hard to open, but once you get inside it's soft and buttery." He grinned back at her before jumping up and running to the slide. "COME ON, ELS!" he yelled at her to follow.
Ella couldn't even sit up she was laughing so hard, clutching her stomach tightly. This was certainly fun and she hadn't laughed this hard in a while. It was quite nice actually, laughing like this with a good friend. It made her forget the feelings of confusion that had been washing over her the past couple of weeks. For once she felt like a kid again.
The blonde's laughter eventually calmed down and she did sit up, looking at Ian with a smirk on her face. She giggled when he agreed that he was indeed nuts and her smile grew as he explained what nut he'd like to be.
"That does sound like you." She said with a nod of her head. He had certainly been shy when she first met him but now he seemed quite comfortable around her and that made her happy. If you couldn't be yourself around your friends, when could you be? And suddenly he was up on his feet and running towards the slide. She watched him for a minute, a small smile on her face, before jumping up to join him.
"Coming!" She yelled, before catching up to him.
"Race you to the top?"
