48. Unbreakable Vow

Ginny ran her hands through her hair, slammed the book closed and sighed. Her attention not full wrapped into the art of ‘dark magic’, as really Defense Against the Dark Arts was more just dark arts now.

Today they had learned about Unbreakable vows, and she had known of them before. When Fred and George had attempted to cast one on Ron. She chuckled, and nervously looked towards the silent blipping radio, she tapped the radio and said tonights password.

“Lightning struck the Ministry of Magic and narrowly escaped” River - the codename for Lee Jordan spoke. Ginny smiled, she was glad that Harry had escaped the Ministry. She was glad her father hadn’t know he was there - he’d have gotten himself killed for him, she just knew it.

“Be careful Harry” she whispered even though she knew he couldn’t hear her, and that wherever he was - he undoubtedly wasn’t thinking of her. She was just his ex girlfriend - the girl he left for some stupid reason? Everyone in the school knew he and she had once been - and that she was his best mate’s sister. She already had a target on her back. Him leaving her didn’t even diminish it.
