"We're... we're at the Room of Requirement," he said quickly, words tumbling from his mouth. "It's a room that takes the form of anything you need it to do. To get in, you have to walk past it three times thinking of exactly what you need." He paused for a second to let this sink in. "So.. I'm going to think of the main bit of the evening, but I need you to think of your favorite snacks and what you'd like for dinner. Once you're done, the door should appear right in front of you." Hopefully that was clear enough, because he set off walking and left her to stand there and think up her favorite foods.
Eh, here they are? Where exactly? Because all Kate could see was a wall, and a corridor. Just like any other corridor in the Castle, truth be told, so...unless he was seeing something she couldn't...

Her eyes were on him the moment he started to explain, because yes, this time an explanation was completely and absolutely necessary.

OH. That explains a lot.

All Kate wondered was what the main bit of the evening was, which made it difficult for her to focus on her likes. "Wait," she stopped him and took his hand, "Together." A smile met her lips. They will be going inside, right? So, if each thought different things on their own, well, she didn't know how that could work. It was only logical to be linked somehow.

Easier to focus too. The first thing on her mind was hot chocolate, though, and licorice wands and oranges, which made a great combination too. Minus the hot chocolate. But...for dinner? Actually, she was in the mood for pasta, so clearly, hot chocolate was out of the question because she wanted pasta far more than that.

It was three times they had to walk in front of it, right? How exciting!
